https://lewistownsentinel.secondstreetapp.com/ReadersChoice-2021/ The Sentinel’s annual Readers’ Choice survey celebrates the local businesses that power our community’s economy and keeps dollars here in our valley- which is more important than ever. Our Juniata Valley businesses have been and continue to be affected by the restrictions caused by covid-19 so they need support.

While shopping online has increased in popularity, there are many things you just can’t experience with e-commerce, like outstanding customer service, the personal touch from a familiar face or tasty homemade dishes. Our survey celebrates the local aspect that will be replaced by an online purchase.

Our 14th annual Sentinel Readers’ Choice Survey lets you recommend your favorites again this year.

Just for participating online or in print, you could win $50! How does it work? In May and June, we asked for nominations of your favorite businesses in over one hundred categories, and we received over 10,000 nominations.

Congratulations to John Barger, whose spring survey was randomly selected from all entries to win $50!

This edition lists the TOP NOMINEES as submitted by our print and online readers.

The number of nominees in each category may vary based on the number of votes cast in that category and ties.

You have the option to vote either online or with a printed survey, or to do both.

Readers can go to https://lewistownsentinel.secondstreetapp.com/ReadersChoice-2021/ to vote online (or find the link on The Sentinel’s home page). The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.

If you prefer to fill out the printed ballot it can be found on pages 11-14 of this edition. Simply select your favorite from each category, pull out the ballot pages found in the centerspread of this edition, and mail it or drop off at The Sentinel.

A drawing will be held of all completed ballots for a $50 prize.

All print ballots must be completed by August 10th and online ballots can be filled out through by August 22, 2021.

Once the votes are tabulated, we will publish a special section in early October featuring the winners in each of the categories.
