George also enjoyed the company of his dog, Skip-
py Ray Welsh, and granddog, Eli Pattrick Kasun, who both preceded him in death. He recently enjoyed meeting his newer granddog, Millie Rae Kasun.

George spent his career
at Swab Wagon Company, CMT Laboratories, and served many years as the McVeytown tax collector.
A man of few words, George often made others smile with his quick, witty replies that could make your day. Although he was a cancer survivor who relearned to walk after a spinal cord injury, George never complained and kept an inspiring attitude despite the challenges thrown his way.
Those wishing to honor George and his family are
make a gift to the McVeytown Ambulance Service (P.O. Box 357, McVeytown, PA 17051), who were steadfast supporters of the family during George’s illness in recent years.
Many of those who knew George knew he said “thank you” for each and every service performed for him. In recognition of that, the family would like to express their gratitude for the many supporters who assisted in caring for George during his illness, particularly the staff at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital and Geisinger Home Health.

George K. “Beebop” Wagner, 92, of McClure, passed away on April 25, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 22, 1932, in Bannerville, he was the son of Frank S. and Rosie C. (Krepps) Wagner.
George graduated from McClure High School in 1950, winning the state soccer championship his junior year. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1952-1954. George was a lifelong member of the Bannerville Church of the Brethren.
George married Janie Wagner on Nov. 21, 1952. They spent 72.5 years of unwavering love and devotion, and he joined her in heaven just 45 days after her passing in March.
After a brief stint at Standard Steel, George quickly decided he would not spend his life working for someone else. He founded Feather Heaven Farm near the Village of Wagner, literally building his successful poultry enterprise brick by brick with his bare hands. Over the decades, he employed hundreds of locals, earning a storied reputation as a fair, honest, and hardworking entrepreneur, and to many, a lifelong friend. George also built the beloved stone house that he and Janie called home for most of their married lives entirely by hand. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t design, engineer,
own. George believed that you could achieve anything you set your mind to and lived by this philosophy every day.
George and Janie experienced the world together. George loved to share his stories from the outback of Australia, hitchhiking around Alaska, or month-long family road trips in their Airstream. They spent over 30 years as summer residents of Otter Creek, Maine, cherishing their second home and welcoming visitors.
with creating memories and adventure.
Family and friends were George’s greatest love. Nicknamed “Beebop” early by his grandson, he proudly displayed his Beebop license plates wherever he went. For Beebop,
everything came back to family.
George was preceded in death by Janie, nine siblings, and his daughter-inlaw, Laurie ‘Doty’ Wagner. He is survived by his children, Michael S. Wagner (Pamela) of Selinsgrove, and Lisa Kay Wagner of McClure; grandchildren, Andrew M. Wagner (Brittany) of Williamsburg, Va., and Amanda Bryan of Lewisburg; great-grandchildren, Audrey Wagner, and Evan and Alex Bryan; sister, Shirley M. Grubbs of Carlisle; close family friend, Kathleen Vollmer; and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia Womeldorf Zook left this world Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. We rejoice that she has passed on to God’s glorious realm and know that she is delighting in the beauty of His Heaven. It is our sincere belief that she has found peace and tranquility with Him.
Pat was born in 1935 in New Bethlehem. As a child she was the only girl cousin in the large Womeldorf family. She had such fond memories of Grandma Womeldorf’s kitchen and the big family meals there surrounded by love and the great humor of her uncles and aunts. In future years she was able to pass some of this along to her girls through the annu-
al Labor Day Womeldorf Reunions we had at KaVee Camp in Huntingdon County. What fun! Through the opening of a new terminal of the family trucking company, Pat found herself in
school senior. A few years on, she was intrigued by a new sports car she saw at Wagner’s garage and met the driver of the Corvette, Curt Zook. Curt was from Belleville, in the middle of Big Valley, just one mountain over. After a tumultuous courtship, she was convinced to marry, and she and Curt eloped to Virginia and spent their honeymoon at the Smithsonian Institute! The intervening years brought them three daughters, many close friends, tough struggles and wonderful adventures.
Pat loved her home and entertaining there. She had great style and a good eye for dÈcor and fashion. She was an interior decorator and taught classes for a time. Her great love was antiques, and she studied them seriously. For many years she had a booth at Dairyland Antiques Mall and was seen at auctions doing her buying.
Pat also was a mem-
Garden Club and served as President of the Belleville Civic Club for a term. She enjoyed being involved with Civic Club and with the Village Pride
organization, where she headed up the committee for the planters that were placed around Belleville. Pat served on the Board of the Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society for a few terms and very much enjoyed the relationships she built there. She participated in two bridge clubs and Book Club. Pat also worked as a secretary at Penn State both at Main Campus and at the DuBois Campus for a time.
In 2012 Pat moved to Lancaster, ultimately settling at Homestead Village retirement community. It was a very nice place, but her heart remained in Big Valley.
Pat is survived by her three daughters: Lisa Z. Kuzdro (married to Ken) of Lancaster, Laurie Zook of Frederick, Md., and Letitia Z. Farwell of Lewistown. She also left behind her -
dren: Curtis Reo Farwell of Park City, Utah, Joshua Allen Farwell of State College, Eve Elexi Farwell of Phillipsburg, Mo., and Charles Caleb Kuzdro of Lancaster. She was predeceased by a grandson, Robert William Farwell. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charles Curtis Zook, in 2008.
The family has arranged a memorial service for Pat at the West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church in Belleville, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m.
