DORNOCH STATION

Let’s begin way up north in the Highlands and work our way down, beginning with Dornoch Station

This isn’t a high-capacity venue, but that is part of the appeal. It’s perfect for retreats and incentives. Decorated with rich colours and blended tartans throughout, it manages to capture a feeling of heritage without becoming dated The setting itself naturally lends itself to curated experiences, not just golf, but whisky tastings and highland excursions.

It’s for all of these reasons that the venue shines as an exclusive-use property The Highlands offer lots of beautiful properties, but Dornoch Station offers intimacy and exclusivity without feeling isolated. The town of Dornoch and the beach are a few minutes’ walk away

The hotel has a total of 89 guest rooms and suites, with many overlooking the Dornoch Firth or the world-famous golf course There is one main event space - The 1616 Ballroom, with a capacity of 200 guests, dependent on floor plan and layout. Plus, you can host your group at their restaurant, The Golden Gorse, with beautiful views across the Royal Dornoch links and to the sea beyond

MARINE NORTH BERWICK

Travelling down to East Lothian for a more accessible venue, we have Marine North Berwick 45 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, and 30 minute train journey from Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick station, the hotel isn’t far from the city. It has a great selection of meeting & event spaces, including:

The Fidra Suite: 80-150 capacity, flexible layout, great for conferences, dinners, and award evenings

The Library: 12-30 capacity boardroom perfect for meetings and breakout sessions

The Lawn Restaurant: 100-200 seated capacity, suited for evening dinners and client entertainment

Bass Rock Bar & Lounges: 60-100 standing capacity, ideal for social events, drinks, and networking

Outdoor Terrace & Lawn: 80-120 standing capacity, scenic views of the Firth of Forth towards Bass Rock make a wonderful setting for summer receptions, BBQs, and outdoor team building activities.

The on-site spa, golf course, and pool allow for downtime for guests on multi-day residential events, making Marine North Berwick one of the most flexible venues in Marine & Lawn’s catalogue - a retreat that doesn’t require a day of travel to reach

Similar to Dornoch Station, this venue has exclusivity potential, with 84 bedrooms, many offering spectacular views of Bass Rock; this could serve as a fantastic base for a prestigious event outside of the city proper. Interiors are stylish and contemporary, taking full advantage of the coastal setting and nodding towards its Scottish heritage

Finally, we ’ re headed down to South Ayrshire to Marine Troon. The hotel is a short train journey from Glasgow, and is a 10minute journey by car from Glasgow Prestwick Airport

Overlooking one of the most prestigious Open venues in the world, the venue has prestige built in. Great for everything from C-suite strategy sessions and corporate retreats to incentive trips and celebrations, Marine Troon has a variety of meeting & event spaces, including:

The Portland Suite: 200 capacity, flexible and ideal for all types of events

The Conservatory: 30 capacity, a bright, airy space for a small seminar, breakout spaces, or a drinks reception

The Gailes Suite: 80 capacity, great for breakouts, large meetings, or private dining

The Darley Suite: 24 capacity, ideal for meetings or private dining

Plus, the venue ’ s two restaurants are available - The Rabbit and The Seal. Each one named after holes on the golf course which they overlook.

This indulgent venue opened at the end of 2025, following the success of Hotel Gotham Manchester, which opened its doors over a decade ago This new city venue isn’t resting on its laurels though, with expansions already underway to expand its offering...

Sitting just off Pilgrim’ s Street, Hotel Gotham has taken residence in the city’ s old fire and police station, giving it an Art Deco twist Some of the original design remains, and it’ s clear that it was important to retain the heritage of the building in its design What this all amounts to is an instant wow factor, the moment you walk through the door The design is bold, glamorous, and memorable Perfect for making an impact and leaving an impression

Currently, the venue offers the Club Brass Mezzanine for private hire, with a capacity of 50 seated. This opulent space is perfect for exclusive events, particularly celebrations and parties.

There’ s also the Siren Restaurant and Fire Bar, which are available for full takeover.

The Magistrates’ Court is set to become an exclusive event space. While exact details on this space are unclear, it’ s predicted that it will be able to host around 120 guests, which will be great for keynote dinners, networking events, celebrations, and evening functions. If you ’ re looking for a higher capacity event space right away, then Hotel Gotham can serve as a great premium hub in tandem with other spaces. NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau is a 10-minute walk/drive away, Theatre Royal is right across the road, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is over the river, and a little further afield is the Utilita Arena Newcastle.

With its central location, Hotel Gotham has great transport links, with Newcastle Central Station a short taxi ride away, with direct services to London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. The Monument Metro station is 2-3 minutes away for access to the wider city.

On the main High Street in Leicester City centre sits the Queen of Bradgate. Residents are likely familiar with the pub already, but it has a few hidden gems tucked away The upstairs event space is available for private hire, with a max capacity of 150 people. It features ping pong tables and social games areas, making it perfect for a party or celebration Then, there is the private cinema room with 24 seats. Intimate, with a retro-theatre feel, this is a great little space for screenings.

In Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, surrounded by independent bars, livemusic venues, galleries, and restaurants, is The Foundry. This twolevel bar feels like a proper night out, even when the entire venue is hired out It never loses its atmosphere, and works just as well for a social gathering as it does for a corporate event.

The upstairs private hire is available for between 80-120 guests, or you can take over the whole venue with a maximum capacity of 200.

We’re super excited to shine a light on a fellow B-Corp venue. And, if you ’ re looking for a sustainable countryside venue - this is one unlike any other, with beautifully styled barns and outdoor vistas, there’s a lot here to love!

EVENTS BARN

The Events Barn seats up to 180 people and 300 standing, with plenty of natural light and fresh air. This space is highly adaptable, accessible, and great for a whole host of different event types, including product launches, conferences, formal (or informal) dinners, or a celebration.

WHEATSHEAF BARN

A smaller space, the Wheatsheaf barn seats up to 42 people theatre style or 32 on roundtables. This is more of a “blank canvas ” , and suits more intimate events, or could serve as a breakout space Comes with its own bar and kitchen, allowing for a catered event

BREAKOUT SPACES

Aside from the Wheatsheaf & Events Barn, each with their own breakout areas, there are 3 other spaces available: The Outdoor Pavilion, The Snug, and the Llama Lounge.

The Pavilion is a small, intimate space for up to 8 We’d wait until things brighten up to use this one. The Snug, however, is perfect for the colder months, seating up to 20 with a coffee area, and comfy, colourful chairs.

Finally, there’s the Llama Lounge, located directly opposite the main Events Barn. This makes it a perfect space for a breakout area, holding up to 30 in a circular seating style.

OUTDOORS

Of course, there’s plenty of space outside for a whole range of activities. The Wellbeing Farm is no stranger to inflatable obstacle courses and various team-building challenges The team at the venue are flexible and is more than willing to accommodate requests, including solutions for hybrid events.

On-site llamas can either take centre stage at your event, or simply provide a fun backdrop.

Right at the foot of the Royal Mile are a few beautiful, discreet apartments If you fancy a quiet walk in Holyrood Park, or just want to put your feet up with views of Arthur’s Seat and the Crags, this is the place to be.

Abbey Strand Apartments are the perfect blend of history and modernity, with traditional stone walls and fireplaces

Each apartment is managed as a selfcontained unit that you access with digital codes. No reception desk, but you may speak to their 24-hour local team via the phone in your apartment

The apartments are self-catered, but daily housekeeping is supplied, and you will have on-site laundry facilities.

Your closest station will be Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, which is a 10-15 minute walk or a short taxi ride

They are perfect for long stays. Private, but homely, and large enough to host guests should the need arise. Easy access to the city and a range of historical landmarks, including the palace and the Scottish Parliament

ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT

If you need a little more space, the one-bedroom apartments offer all the amenities of the studio apartment, but feature a fully separate bedroom and living space This would be our recommendation for those looking at longer stays

TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT

A home away from home for families or small groups. Sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms with two bathrooms. The apartment has a spacious shared living area with gorgeous views, combining period detailing with modern comforts

There’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your time spent. While it is ideal for long stays, it serves just as well for a luxurious short stay for groups wishing to explore the city

FOOD AND DRINK

While there is no on-site catering, you have plenty of options, both close by and further afield.

For breakfast, if you don’t fancy cooking for yourself, you can enjoy a light bite at Clarinda’s Tearoom, just a couple of minutes down the road

For dinner, we’d recommend a visit to Wedgwood The Restaurant. Incredible tasting menu with wine pairings, and ideal for celebratory dinners and leaving an impression.
