Celebrated as one of the world’s finest artists working with glass, Hiroshi Yamano is acclaimed for creating some of the most technically accomplished glass sculpture being produced today. In this exhibition, entitled “Hiroshi Yamano: Scenes of Japan”, finely crafted blown glass renditions of bird, flower and branch forms interact with Yamano’s latest shapes of flattened vessels and other base forms involving complex blending of multiple glass art techniques such as blowing, cutting, integration with layers of silver leaf and copper plating, as well as engraving and etching.
