It has been a year since we launched our most important endeavor to date, the Levitate Foundation. Our mission is to bring the Levitate community together to support and create access to music, arts, and the outdoors. Our pride and love poured into the Foundation is made possible by our 1% pledge, sponsors, and private donors.

Because of you, in the last year we: 1.

Launched our Send A Kid To Camp program to help fund scholarships and support local programs in their effort to provide opportunities for children to attend camp.

2. Created access to the arts through scholarships, supplies, and community art projects.

3. Helped create opportunities to explore and perform music.

It has been such a blast putting paint brushes in kids’ hands, making sure they have equitable access to camp and music and art programs, and creating opportunities for musicians and music students to share their love of music with the community. Thank you for your support, and we are already looking forward to the future.

a surf shop’s fanciest event yet the levitate foundation backyard ball

On July 2, 2023 we gathered 400+guests that included family, friends, and community activists, to celebrate the official launch of the Levitate Foundation at the fanciest function to ever be thrown in a surf shop - the Backyard Ball.

This first-ever Levitate Foundation event was a night to remember with a curated art gallery, live art, an “Unbelievable Experiences” auction led by our friend Mark Stiles and Robbie of Ripe, who closed out the night with a very special set, following up on their sold out show at Boston’s MGM Music Hall. This launch event was a time to champion the success stories from the Foundation’s first year and gain support for our upcoming projects surrounding access to creativity and the outdoors within our community.

get on stage at the 10th anniversary levitate music and arts festival

The Levitate Foundation joined forces with the 10th anniversary Levitate Music Festival to sponsor an unsigned act to take the final slot of the 10th annual Levitate lineup and take their careers and band to the next level. We wanted to give an opportunity for exposure to thousands of new fans and experience on a large scale event to a New England band that might not have otherwise had the same opportunity.

After spending hours sifting through hundreds of incredible submissions from bands and musicians from across New England, we were beyond stoked to congratulate and welcome Copilot to the stage at the Levitate Music & Arts Festival.Maggie Quealy, Ry McDonald, Jake Machell, Austin Beveridge, Dylan Allwine, and Jack Snow kicked off Day 3 alongside world-class acts Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Ziggy Marley, Shakey Graves, and Brandi Carlile amongst many more!

supporting the arts Marshfield High School Art Excellence & Creativity Awards Levitate Foundation partnered with the Marshfield High School Art Department and Art Club to raise money for senior scholarship awards. Together we were able to award five Marshfield High School seniors with art scholarships to help them pursue their passions and careers in the arts.

North River Arts Society – Children’s Art Tent Sponsor & LMF Community Art We partnered with the North River Arts Society to share access to art with all and spread the joy of creativity. This year, the Levitate Foundation sponsored the North River Arts Festival Children’s Art tent in Marshfield Hills, providing free access to art projects for all children all weekend long.

At the Levitate Music & Arts Festival, together we designed and built a community mural, where everyone at the Festival had a chance to get their hands dirty and create an incredible work of art!

JPH/Ferry Hill Camp The James P. Harrington Organization (JPH) at Ferry Hill in Marshfield runs a day camp during the summer that connects children to nature, provides creative activities, and focuses on mental wellness. This summer, JPH started an after-camp art program and an art therapy program to share the values of a life inspired by creativity. The Levitate Foundation sponsored all art supplies for both programs to help kickstart a summer filled with art and creativity for the next generation.

volunteer events

World Ocean’s Day Beach Clean Up with 4Ocean On June 10, 2023, we partnered with 4Ocean to bring together over 150 volunteers to clean up the Rexhame and South River beaches. Together, we were able to remove trash from the dunes, river, and rocks, and enjoyed a morning of getting the Levitate community together to make a difference.

Levitate Music & Arts Festival Volunteer Program At our 10th anniversary of the Levitate Music & Arts Festival, we also celebrated our 10-year relationship with the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield.

Our volunteer program combined the efforts of the Levitate Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club to help fund music, art, and camp programs at the Club and in our community. Over 400 people joined our volunteer crew to help park cars and scan tickets this year, helping raise money for a great cause.

levitate foundation’s send a kid to camp In 2023, we funded scholarships and financial aid at local camps and programs to make sure every kid can enjoy their New England Summer through an incredible camp experience. In our first year, we supported Crossroads/Camp Wing, Duxbury Bay Maritime School, the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield, The Zoo, Levitate Camps, and local school programs, helping to provide funds for 70 children to enjoy camp this summer.
