Publish your book Open Access with Leuven University Press and the KU Leuven Fund for Fair OA!

The KU Leuven Fund for Fair OA is a unique initiative that makes immediate Open Access affordable. It provides financial support to partially cover the Book Processing Charges or BPC of Open Access books in all disciplines. The Open Access books are made available via JSTOR, Project MUSE, OAPEN and Open Research Library which guarantee quality assurance, global impact, dissemination, and long-term digital preservation. Besides the online publications that can be downloaded free of charge, Leuven University Press also offer readers the opportunity to buy print copies of these books.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Regardless of their affiliation, all authors can apply for partial financial support provided that their proposal has been accepted and approved by the editorial board of Leuven University Press.

HOW MUCH WILL THE KU LEUVEN FUND FOR FAIR OA COVER?

Authors not affiliated with KU Leuven can apply for 1/3 of the BPC, whereas authors affiliated with KU Leuven can apply for 2/3 of the BPC.

HOW TO APPLY?

In a first step, your book proposal must be submitted to Leuven University Press and presented to our editorial board. You can submit a book proposal at publish@lup.be. After approval by the editorial board, a request for support from the KU Leuven Fund for Fair Open Access will be prepared in collaboration with the publisher.
