A middle child of five, has three sisters and a brother.
Robin came from a mixed heritage family where his
father had a First Nations mother and West Indian
father. His Grandfather was the first black teacher in
East York (Toronto Canada) in 1923. His great, great,
grandfather was a slave and was smuggled through
the USA via The Underground Railway to Ontario in
the eighteen hundreds. His mother is Irish and came to
Canda via the United States, when she was a teenager.
His mother moved in next door to his dad’s family and
fell in love even though she was already engaged. They
ended up eloping and went back their respective homes
without telling their parents. Robin Jones have been
married once and divored once. His second wife died
of dementia and she didn’t know who he was for the
last four or five years. She adored his father and would
be very pleased that a book is being written about him.
Robin has six children, seven grandchildren, and one
great grandchild.
