To be eligible for student funding, you must meet the following Eligibility Criteria:

Residency and Nationality Income Maximum period of grant assistance available Previous Education and Progression Approved course in an approved institution.

You will be classed as a Dependent, Mature Dependent or Independent student. This will determine whose income is taken into account when calculating the reckonable household income on which you will be assessed to establish if you are eligible for funding. Remember, while some criteria are common across all categories of further and higher education, for example Nationality, others are specific to your student type and the type of course you wish to pursue.
