The Club at Diamondhead features the only 36-hole facility on the Coast
Located less than 20 miles from the Louisiana-Mississippi state line (just off I-10 at Exit 16), sits The Club at Diamondhead. This semi-private facility is home to the Pine Course (located closest to the clubhouse) and The Cardinal Course. Both are must-plays when on the Coast and are distinctly different. While both offer beautiful landscapes and scenic views, the Pine Course winds through natural pine trees and has some challenging waterways.
Shell Landing Golf Club is a masterpiece carved through wetlands and waterways
On the eastside of the Coast sits Shell Landing Golf Club, which can be accessed from I-10 using Exit 57 (from the west)and Exit 61 (from the east).
Known for its above-average conditions and great customer service, this championship tract has received numerous national accolades.
This Davis Love IIIdesign is over beautiful natural surroundings. The course is a great blend of challenging holes and stunning views.
The Cardinal Course was designed with an emphasis on strategtic play.It has wider fairways and well-placed bunkers.

History was made on June 18 at The Island Golf Course (Plaquemine,La.)as Lucy and Jackson Cook each captured victories at the Gulf States PGA Junior PGAChampionship.
The 3-stroke victory for Jackson and the 6-stroke victory by Lucy marked the first time in GSPGA history that a brother and sister took down the championship in the same year.
The West Point, Miss.siblings almost pulled off the feat last year, but Lucy finished second.
“As a parent,it is really super cool when both of your kids are playing well,”said their mom,Kat.“That doesn’t always happen, but it is a very good day when they are both playing well and we get to watch both of them.”
Jackson,18,shot an 8-under-par 64 in the first round of the GSPGAJunior Championship and then finished with an even-par 72 for the title.Lucy,16,shot rounds of 70 and 69 for the victory. Both kids were introduced to golf by their father,Kyle, who has been a recreational player for many years. In fact, the Cook children have always lived in a golf-course community. The Cooks used to live near The Reunion Golf and Country Club in Madison, but moved to the Old Waverly Golf Club Community when COVID-19 changed the world. It was at that point both kids also started working with V.J.Trolio and Tim Yelverton, which allowed both to take their game to another level.
Aside from several other victories, one of the Cook kids have won the Mississippi State Junior Amateur in the last four years as Jackson was victorious in 2021 and 2023 and Lucy won the title in 2022 and this year.
Lucy has been playing golf since she was 9 and Jackson started at the age of 11.They both were participants of the popular PGA Junior League programs. Also, both kids are SEC-program verbal commitments (Jackson to Mississippi State University and Lucy to the University of Kentucky). Jackson will graduate in 2025 and Lucy is part of the Class of 2026.
Lucy and Jackson attend Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
