Inspiration
Andalusian culture / Flamenco
The Andalusian music that is considered Andalusian heritage is the music made by the Muslims in the Iberian Peninsula during the years of Islamic domination (711 and 1492) and the subsequent period of Moorish presence (1492-1609). Of all this period, the time of the Caliphate of Córdoba was, perhaps, the one with the greatest musical richness. A large number of the musical instruments used in today’s Western music have Andalusian origin. The most used at this time were the oud, the rebec, the kitra, the buq, the castanets or the dulzaina.
