The Staff
Class 1 is held in the Junior School but still remains part of the Bilingual Infant School. Class 2, 3 and 4 have a class teacher who is also their Form Tutor. Classes 5 and 6 are taught by subject specialists from both the Junior and Secondary School and each have their own Form Tutor

The School Structure & Curriculum Overview The learning spaces are currently divided as follows: Bilingual Infant School: Nursery , Reception, Kindergarten. Class 1 (Part of BIS, based in the Junior School) Classes 2-6 in the Junior School
Class 7 are taught in the Secondary school and board in the Junior House
Section 02
Curriculum Overview Class 2-4 follow the International Primary Curriculum which focuses on developing knowledge, skills and understanding of subjects. Class 5-6 follow Le Régent’s international academic curriculum. The academic year is divided into three terms. Academic grades are reported via the parent portal. The evaluation of academic work is based on the results of tests, written work, oral presentations, projects etc.
All reports include subject teachers’, tutors’, Coordinator and Houseparents’ comments (boarding students) regarding the student’s contribution to
02 The School Structure & Curriculum Overview Class 2, 3 and 4 are mainly led by their class teachers who teach the children the core subjects, as well as the IPC units. These include:
English Maths Science (IPC) Art (IPC) Geography (IPC) History (IPC) ICT and Computing (ICT)
Class 2, 3 and 4 also have the additional benefit of being taught by subject specialists in the following areas:
French, Mandarin, Music, LAMDA, Sport , Forest School (Class 2 and 3)

Classes 2 , 3 and 4 Classes 2, 3 and 4 study the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) which is a continuation of the IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum) What is the International Primary Curriculum? The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is the term for a learning programme that has been adopted by schools worldwide as a globally- focused version of National Curriculums.
It Is used by schools throughout the world encompassing learners form the the age of three to twelve. As well as teaching children key curricular skills that will improve their subject knowledge base, the IPC also aims to illustrate good learning practises and characteristics to children. It incorporates these within their different units of learning, so that children learn the key soft skills alongside the development of their subject knowledge. The IPC is used in many international schools worldwide, in over 90 countries. Some schools in England, including state academies and independent schools, also choose to use the IPC instead of or alongside the National Curriculum. The IPC works in a way so that it can be integrated with other curriculums.

IPC What units are included in the IPC?
Subject matter in the IPC is tailored to a relevant age group with different International Primary Curriculum milestones, known as mileposts. But rather than focusing on specific subjects, the IPC instead focused on themed ‘units’ of work. Each unit will then incorporate different subjects within it. So learners may develop literacy, numeracy, and geography skills, all within the same themed unit. This is in order to promote better cross- curricular links and so children see how their learning links up between subjects. This aims to give children a stronger base of learning where they develop their knowledge, skills and understanding across a range of topics.

Important times School opens at 08am, please drop off the children between 08:05-08:10am each morning.
Pick up times are: - Monday/Wednesday/ Friday at 16:30 (after skiing) or 17:45 (after prep) - Tuesday and Thursday at 16:05 or 17:00. The door will be closed in between those times as the teachers are busy in clubs

Equipment List
When children arrive at school in the mornings, they should enter via -2 on the side of the building, leave their coats and outdoor shoes in the changing room. We ask you to bring a pair of clean school shoes for use only inside the classroom, and trainers or winter boots for outside play.

Seesaw We use an online platform to share photos and videos of your children, to post important information and to share interactive teaching resources. In order for you to access this please provide your child’s teacher with your email address and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your child.
Times Tables Rockstars Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice. At home, your child will use this app on their iPad and their class teacher will set speci c times tables for them to practise

Your children will learn their Times Tables by singing them to the coolest tracks, from some of the world’s best artists! The children love bopping away to the new Times Table lyrics while they learn. Maths has never been so cool!

Nessy Nessy is a software program designed to help students of all abilities learn to read, write, spell and type.
Imaths
MyIMaths is an online programme which offers interactive lessons ‘booster packs’ for revision, and assignable homework. We may set homework challenges on this website so please ensure your child is able to access this.
