In Nursery and Reception we use the UK EYFS framework to deliver a specialised curriculum based on seven areas of learning. This is delivered mostly in French with some areas being taught in English. Uniform and Kit Lists

03 Uniform and Kit lists

Shoes When children arrive at school in the mornings, they should leave their coats and outdoor shoes in the changing room. We ask you to bring a pair of black, clean school shoes for use only inside the classroom, and trainers or winter boots for outside play. We encourage the children to develop their independence in dressing themselves. For this reason, we ask that you provide them with indoor and outdoor shoes that are easy for them to put on and take off on their own (for example, velcro straps or slip-on, rather than laces).

Hair If your child has long hair, it must be combed and tied back before arriving at school.

Toileting

We ask that your child is toilet-trained before starting in Nursery. However, we understand that the stress and excitement of starting school can, of course, lead to the occasional toilet accident. This is why we ask that you leave us a named change of clothes in a bag with your child’s belongings in the changing room. This should include a full change of clothes; fresh underwear, trousers, socks, and a T-shirt.

Things to consider School is a place of learning. We know that learning also takes place through play. For this reason we offer the children many opportunities and a variety of materials and toys for play. However, children are not permitted to bring toys home from school, or vice versa; we ask you to leave all personal toys at home. Thank you for understanding.

fl

In keeping with our encouragement of your child’s independence, and to support hygiene measures in line with Covid-19 regulations, we would like each child to bring a reusable water ask to and from school each day, so that the children can drink from their bottles whenever they wish throughout the school day.
