I'm Leon Ladisic a passionate architecture and urban design student currently based in Lund, Sweden.

I aspire to work in a dynamic and progressive workplace, where my effort makes a positive impact . I want to tackle emerging and relevant topics such as adaptive reuse, sustainable urban growth and new construction techniques.

My greatest strenght is the diversity of my interests and knowledge. Throughout my education I have dealt with scales ranging from construction details all the way to regional plans .

I'm eager to work on complex projects that bridge different architectural themes in a holistic manner. My focus is always on end users - the people who will inhabit the spaces we design .

Lund University School of Architecture, 2022 Advanced Architectural Design I Andreea Marcu (andreea.marcu@abm .lth .se) The brief called for a temporary pavilion that would act as a landmark of the H22 exposition in Helsignborg . It had to be cheap and reusable, while at the same time having an identity that grabs vistors' attention.

We chose a simple geometric composition that references traditional and contemporary Scandinavian architecture . The metal exterior is a nod to the cities' industrial past, and is contrasted with the wooden interior. To symbolize faith in a better future (key to H22's core message), a skylight illuminates the interior drawing visitors' eyes upwards.

University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture, 2020 Architecture and Technology lvica Plavec (ivica .plavec@arhitekt .hr) The Architecture and Technology course connects architectural and construction design in a contemporary context . I chose to focus on challenges associated with new buildings inserted into historic urban environments . An existing corner house in Zagreb's center was marked for demolition. Instead of erasing a valuable urban layer, I proposed a small cultural center which follows the original building's massing . In paralel to the architectural design phase, technological topics were explored, such as : foundation design with relation to existing buildings, light and quickly assembled steel structures and the prefabrication of facade elements .

University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture, 2018 Integrated Disciplines Studio Vedran Duplancic (vedran .duplancic@arhitekt.hr) The Integrated Disciplines course is a milestone of the undergraduate program in Zagreb . During an intense semester, groups of 4 are tasked with developing an architectural project from the concept phase all the way to final construction drawings . The work was tutored by architects, construction architects, civil engineers and mechanical engineers .

The intense group work dynamics and interdisciplinary approach aims to simulate real-life scenarios in an architecture office . Our proposal breaks up the educational program into several wooden pavilions, with rooftops extending the existing playgrounds along the sloped terrain .

densification in Donji Grad, Zagreb

University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture, 2021 Contemporary Housing Design Studio Marina Simunic Bursic (marina .simunic@arhitekt.hr) The course focused on new residential solutions in ageing historical city centers. I chose to investigate densification as a means of sustainable development. The driving question was: how can we significantly increase residential density without sacraficing quality of life for existing residents?

As an answer, I designed an atypical residential building inside one of the many urban blocks of Downtown Zagreb . While the building is meant to be large, its layout (especially the triangular section) preserves light and air access for all existing buildings . The previously abandoned block interior is converted into a vibrant publicly accessible urban space .

revitalisation of Praha 11 district

Lund University School of Architecture, 2022 Sustainable Urban Dynamics Andreas Olsson (andreas .olsson@arkitektur.lth .se) Praha 11 is a residential district of Prague characterised by typical Sovietera prefabricated buildings and a car centric organisation. We were given freedom to choose our focus, with the overarching question being: how can we improve living conditions? I chose to take a very systematic approach, viewing Praha 11 as a case study to develop and demonstrate general principles that could be applied to any similar area in Europe . The concept revolved around three main areas of focus: densification, variation and placemaking. Praha 11 's existing spatial qualities were also taken into account, primarily with regard to the ammount of available green spaces .

University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture, 2020 Urban Planning Workshop Ivan Mlinar (ivan .mlinar@arhitekt.hr) The course focused on a systematic approach to the low-density Podsljeme zone of Zagreb . In phase 1, we were tasked with studying the area's various urban feaures and coming up with an overview of qualities and problems .

In phase 2, we had to leverage our investigations to come up with proposals for improving the area's overall urban quality. Initially, Klara and me focused on historical village cores and their relation to contemporary local centers and sub-centers . Afterwards, in the second phase, we used our insights to plan a series of interventions into existing sub-urban centers, adding new qualities for the local population of Podsljeme .
