ISLAND EXPERIENCE
For over 50 years, LEO A DALY has completed hospitality design projects in the Caribbean, Hawaii and other island locales. These regions are logistically challenging as there is quite a distance to get FF&E and products in addition to the climate and environmental aspects. Our team understands the requirements for designing and constructing buildings in the islands, especially in special flood hazard areas (SFHAs) where hurricanes and tropical events occur requiring specialized knowledge of the effects of water and wind on structures. The V Zone designation (V and VE zones) are FEMA classifications associated with the highest risk coastal areas most prone to flooding and are identified on Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).

The 400,000-SF four-story 339 key hotel and spa was designed on 1,400 acres to be an oasis of tranquility, as a world-class vacation, meeting, wellness and golf destination was completely renovated.Guestrooms and corridors received a full refresh, including new bathrooms, windows and doors. A new open lobby concept takes advantage of the view of the 30-acre lake as well as the pool complex. Ballrooms, meeting rooms and corridors with also included in the redesign. The exterior was freshened as well with a new design for the courtyard.
