Welcome to the beautiful home of LCCFPA.

While you are in our house, we ask that you are a courteous neighbor to those around you.

· Time your exits and re-entry to the seating area to occur only at intermission or breaks between songs. This is a courtesy to other guests around you who will appreciate you keeping these disruptions to a minimum.

· Save texting until after the show. The light from phones is distracting to others throughout the theatre. Please keep them turned off.

· Snacks and drinks from concessions are welcome in the seating area, but as a courtesy to those around you, eat and drink as quietly as possible. Know that odors and noisy wrappers can disturb others.

· Once the show starts, let the stage be the center of attention. We ask that you turn off all cell phones and limit conversation. If children are attending this performance with you, exit the theatre immediately if they become restless or talkative.

· Taking videos or pictures is strictly prohibited. Patrons seen taking pictures or videos will be asked to put their device away.

We are excited to have you with us and hope that, while being a courteous neighbor, you enjoy the show.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

When most people think of Footloose, they immediately think of neon lights, highenergy choreography, a nostalgic 1980s soundtrack, and the simple desire to dance. As our cast and crew dove into this rehearsal process, we quickly found that beneath the upbeat rhythms lies a deeply moving story about the ways we process grief and the importance of forgiveness. At its core, Footloose is not just about a town that banned dancing. It is about a community, paralyzed by tragedy, desperately in need of healing.

Following a devastating loss, the people of Bomont (like so many of us) chose to cope by locking down, creating rules to protect themselves from further pain. No one embodies this struggle more than the Moore family. From the outside, they are pillars of the community, putting on a perfect front for the church and their neighbors. But behind closed doors, they are a family fractured by unexpressed grief, quietly falling apart under the weight of expectations and unhealed wounds.

Enter Ren McCormack. On the surface, he is a fast-talking city kid causing trouble. In reality, Ren is a young man carrying his own heavy burden, dealing with the painful aftermath of his parents’ divorce, and the sudden, silent abandonment of his father.

What makes this story so compelling is how these characters, despite coming from completely different worlds, desperately need the exact same thing. Ren and the youth of Bomont are not just rebelling for the sake of making noise. They are fighting for the right to express themselves and process their pain.

Through unexpected friendships and hard-fought conversations, the people of Bomont begin to realize that safety does not come from isolation, and healing does not come from silence. In the end, this show is a reminder of what happens when we choose vulnerability over fear. By standing together, these characters help each other overcome their grief, forgive both themselves and those who hurt them, and ultimately find a way to embrace life once again.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. We hope this performance inspires you to let go of whatever is holding you back, to forgive deeply, and, of course, to never stop dancing.

Mrs. Jessica Cruz
