INTRODUCTION NEISSE UNIVERSITY is an international cooperation between the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic, Wrocław University of Technology, Poland and the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Germany.
The studies have an average duration of three years. This program has been accredited in 2004 and is taught in English.

Introduction
The Information and Communication Management degree program is fully integrated within the three named universities. This means that the students use the same lecture theatres, rooms and facilities as all the university‘s full time students. Not only the same facilities are used-the students of the NEISSE UNIVERSITY are also taught by the same experienced lecturers who teach the local students. The subject matter of the course is a composition of the core subjects Economics, Communication, Computer Science, Psychology, and the languages
and cultures of the three different countries. Since 2003 every year students succesfully graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Management, of which were mainly from the three Neisse countries Poland, Czech Republic and Germany but also from non-EU states as Nigeria, Vietnam or Egypt. The graduation ceremony takes place inside the Town Hall of GĂśrlitz each year and is attended by political and economic representatives from all three countries.

Course Information and Communication Management
INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT If you want to study Information and Communication Management, your prerequisites for admission for application are the general qualification for university entrance as well as a certificate on your foreign language skills in English. This can be obtained in a language course which is offered in Liberec for first year students or an appropriate degree as for example with TOEFL or the Cambridge certificate. The structure of the course with its modules constitutes an integrated and wide ranging knowledge base. What makes this degree stand out from the rest is that it directly adjusts to our globalized world and increasingly interdisciplinary work environments with an innovative combination of Economics, Computer Science and Psychology of Communication with questions of intercultural education as well as languages and ensures a high degree of flexibility after graduation. The program is highly diversified. You learn all the important facts about Computer Science, however you also develop important interdisiplinary skills taught in Business Administration and Psychology. The idea of NEISSE UNIVERSITY was conceived as a place to study in a linguistical, cultural, academical, and economical setting. One of the major benefits of this tricultural university, which is based on already built up facilities and knowledge, is the fact that it can draw on the strengths of each individual university which supports it. In this way all three universities benefit from the course and vice versa.

The aim is to send graduates out into the world, who have a strong understanding of the processes in practice and can take on various jobs in economics, media, communication, and administration, and management. Career opportunities include e.g. positions in the areas of information technology, data processing, optimization of organizational processes, project management, analysis, modelling and consulting of processes, implementation and service of information systems and software engineering.

ABOUT LIBEREC
Liberec was first mentioned in the year 1352. During the period of industrialization, wealth and prosperity was due to the textile production. In the city centre there is a historic town zone. Hundreds of houses and villas of the 19th century and early 20th century constitute the architecture of the town. Liberec is an important tourist and skiing centre of the region.

Its 65 metre high tower, splendid facade decoration and valuable windowpanes catch the eye immediately. Visitors are invited for a sightseeing tour of the town hall‘s interiors.
The Jizera Mountains are situated on the north of the Czech Republic, between the Lusatian Mountains and the Giant Mountains. The highest mountain is Smrk (1124 meter).
Few other towns can boast a dominant feature such as Ještěd Ridge with its 1012 meter high peak crowned with a remarkable tower containing a hotel.
The basement of the building includes a restaurant and wine bar and the floors above contain the mayor‘s offices and three halls. The most artistically valuable of which serves as a venue for weddings for the towns residents. The matriculation of students of NEISSE UNIVERSITY takes place in the town hall each year.
The nature of the Jizera Mountaines fascinates visitors with its coarse Scandinavian character and plenty of beautiful places with unique natural creations. In winter they become a famous place for skiers, because of many kilometres of arranged tracks or ski tows in many ski-centres of Jizera Mountains.
Ještěd serves not only as the emblem of the town; it also provides a splendid view of the area, ideal conditions for hang gliding enthusiasts in the summer, and a range of well-maintained downhill runs, ski lifts and ski jumps for fans of skiing and races which are staged regularly in the winter.

STUDENT LIFE IN LIBEREC
From the moment when you arrive in Liberec, and you see the surrounding mountains, it becomes clear that the region is perfect for all sorts of mountaineering. There are also many good mountain bike tours and hiking trails.

SUTR climbing hall In the city center there is a big climbing hall, called SUTR, where you can climb the whole day. It is a nice atmosphere inside of this hall and you can meet people from all over the world. There is also a small cafeteria where you can relax after climbing and have a cup of tea or you have a look into the shop beneath the entrance.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS 2ND YEAR IN JELENIA GÓRA - ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016
1. The winter term in Jelenia Góra will start at the end of September (the exact date will be given in July 2015). Two days before the students can announce their arrival to the reception office (which is inside the main building of our university) to be accommodated at our dormitory. 2. All the students of the NEISSE UNIVERSITY have the opportunity to stay in our student dormitory. 3. Administrative requirements: - 2 color passport photos (35mm x 45 mm each) - 1 electronic passport photo with 300 x 375 pixels 4. German and Czech students should prepare 21zł of payment for the identification card and student‘s book. 5. The director of the branch in Jelenia Góra will invite all the two-year students of NEISSE UNIVERSITY for the first meeting to discuss all the necessary matters and problems. (Changes are possible)

ABOUT WROŁCAW / JELENIA GÓRA
Jelenia Góra / Cieplice In their second year, students of the NEISSE UNIVERSITY study in Jelenia Góra, at the Faculty of Technology and Informatics of Wrocław University of Technology. Wrocław is the fourth biggest city in Poland and economic, cultural, and intellectual capital of Lower Silesia. Wrocław is one of the largest university centers in the country. The intellectual life of the city is focused around 13 academic schools such as the University of Wrocław, Wrocław University of Technology, and Wrocław University of Economics. Wrocław is situated on the River Odra, just north of the Sudety Mountains. It is close to both the German and the Czech Republic‘s borders. It is divided by the river and its many tributaries and canals. Within the city there are 12 islands and 112 bridges. Jelenia Góra is a charming city in voivodeship Lower Silesia in Poland. It is about 100 kilometers away from Wrocław and 70 kilometers from Görlitz. Jelenia Góra is situated at the foot of the Sudety Mountains. The students‘ campus of the NEISSE UNIVERSITY is located just outside Jelenia Góra in Cieplice. Cieplice is a calm and beautiful suburb around 10 km from the city center.

STUDENT LIFE IN JELENIA GÓRA / CIEPLICE
In Jelenia Góra there is plenty to keep you entertained. Cultural offerings include concerts, celebrations, expositions, theatres, and festivals all year round. The Silesia Sounds festival, Vienna Music, and the international street theatre are only a few examples. Lots of restaurants offer traditional Polish and international food. Cafés and bars invite students to come inside and socialize with others.
The Jelenia Góra valley is the natural foreland of the Giant Mountains. Many places in the valley offer unparalleled views of the mountains.
The lake district in the south of the Wzgórza Lomnickie at the foot of the mountains is another great place to spend your weekends!
Some of the attractions in the valley include the large number of mansions and castles. One of the highlights in Jelenia Góra is the large park in Cieplice adjacent to the students‘ campus.
This mountainous region is ideal for sports and leisure all year round. In summer you can go hiking or cycling and in winter the conditions are perfect for skiing or snowboarding.
I met nice colleagues and teachers during my studies. They were very friendly and I am glad to stay in contact with them. Living in a different town for some time is different from coming there for a visit. l like that NEISSE UNIVERSITY allows us to study in different places. Zittau
Görliz is a town in Germany. It is Germany‘s most eastern town, located on the Lusatian Neisse River in the Federal State of Saxony. It is opposite the Polish town of Zgorzelec, which was a part of Görlitz until 1945. Due to the historical parts of the city, many movie makers have used the various backgrounds. Today the most prominent example is Quentin Tarantino who shot the movie Pride of the Nation for Inglourious Bastards on the Untermarkt and Obermarkt - the oldest parts of the city.
Zittau is a beautiful German town on the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic, divided by the romantic River Neisse. The city is enclosed in a valley called Zittauer Becken and surrounded by the Zittau Mountains, the Ještěd and the Jizera Mountains as well as the Lausitzer Bergland. Because of its special location, Zittau is known as link in Europe with open borders, a city surrounded by three different countries.

Directly beside the entrance to the student hostel Vogtshof is the student club Maus.
Café Kugel is a café on the Weberstreet near the Untermarkt and the University.
Round about 12km away, behind the small village Königshain you can visit the Königshainer Berge.
This bar attracts a great mix of clientele from young to old, students, graduates, and pretty much everyone else. It is open on Monday and Wednesday and for special events like concerts or start up parties. Darts and table soccer are also available or you can just sit back and relax.
The charming café is famous for organic food and drinks and offers its guests a delightful atmosphere by serving different mokka and tea specialities, sorts of fruitcake, and homemade cakes. During summer the romantic herbary is open. The perfect place to let the day go by and relax.
This small paradise of nature offers something for everyone. Years ago it was a granite quarry. You can read something about the history of this place while following the way around - but there is still more to discover. It is e.g. a paradise for climbers, from beginners to professionals.
If you are looking for something unique, NEISSE UNIVERSITY is the place to go. It is a perfect way to grow as a personality. During your journey you will meet a lot of people from different countries, creating unforgettable memories. I travelled a lot before starting university and was afraid of getting stuck in one place. Then I heared of NEISSE UNIVERSITY - changing enviroment each year will not let you get bored with your study and will provide constant stimulation to try new things. The program has all advantages of the Erasmus exchange program but additionally offers security and peace of mind - the accomodation and formal issus are taken care of for you. Not only was the NEISSE UNIVERSITY a great opportunity to prepare myself for my later activities in several fields of the workforce, but it was also lived diversity from the very start. Being in a tri-national group of students helped me to begin to understand the different cultures and to greatly benefit from a multitude of different approaches, ways of thinking, the often experienced hopitality and friendship.
