This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the creative and technical processes of motion graphic design, focusing on the use of motion graphics / animation softwares. Students will explore the fundamental principles of motion, keyframe animation, and video composition, while also developing skills in storytelling through dynamic visual design.
The course aims to equip students with a foundational and practical understanding of motion design through hands-on engagement with visual storytelling and animation. Students will learn to apply key animation principles, and develop design workflows suitable for professional environments.
· Demonstrate a working knowledge of the 12 Principles of Animation in a motion design context.
The course emphasizes both industry standard techniques and experimental approaches to animated content for contemporary media platforms
· Create animated compositions, including keyframe animation and visual effects. · Design and animate text, images, and graphics using layer-based workflows. · Apply parallax and pseudo-3D techniques to create depth and movement. · Create rhythmic and expressive kinetic typography synchronized with audio.
