KitchenWare INTERNATIONAL

GEFU – Discover Culinary Artistry.

Here comes Summer. School’s not yet out but it’s still a happy day as an excellent and sunny Kitchenware International goes to press shortly after I write this. Plenty of good and interesting material in this issue so jump straight in if you want.

Still here? Okay I’ll give you a little taster of what’s ahead.

There are some particularly important news stories that are bang up to date, they include important government decision processes. The UK government’s new consultation on the UK product safety framework – ‘Product regulation: the UK’s new product safety framework’ – is open until 23 June and BHETA (the British Home Enhancement Trade Association) is urging all UK housewares and small domestic electricals suppliers to engage.

Then there’s the Home Office consultation on licensing for knife sales which closed in February and received over 3,000 responses. This means analysis and policy decisions are likely to take several more months. The proposed licensing regime would extend far beyond traditional kitchen knives and could potentially affect suppliers and retailers of cutlery, garden tools, trade blades, scissors, and other bladed products.

Our cover story features Sambonet and its rebranding journey that has consolidated its position in the table and kitchenware world – historically its core areas of expertise. Sambonet’s 2026 strategy is twofold: reclaiming the company’s solid positioning in the kitchen segment – the presence here is already wellestablished – while the second goal is to bring to market an offer that truly responds to consumer needs, without ever compromising on quality and functionality.

This issue’s features go to the heart of the kitchenware sector. First, there’s Cookware. With so many now turning to cooking as a hobby and to save money, the sector is enjoying a period of significant growth – especially for manufacturers and retailers. Good news all round.

The second feature is about tea and coffee (whether cool or hot, they hit the spot). Staying ahead of trends and delivering exactly what discerning consumers want is always key. A growing thirst for traditional and trending flavoured hot and cold beverages, plus a host of product options and price points, mean retailers can always expect steady sales.

From the Editor

Showtime is both behind and ahead of us. In the review we have Chicago’s Inspired Home Show, where from knives and utensils to cookware and storage, the event celebrated its 126th edition this year with an innovative mix of product. Our reviewer points out that, as well as the excellent displays and stands, the show is pretty much the easiest for visitors to navigate – and that’s so important for those with tight schedules and important meetings.

The Exclusively Housewares Show, which is coming up at the Business Design Centre in London this month, has a cool and informative timetable of trend talks from Scarlet Opus based on in-depth research into consumer emotions, motivations and desires. The insights help attendees to make confident business decisions and stay ahead of what their customers are looking for. And this is in addition to the usual wide-ranging displays of fantastic products and creations.

Zuchex (“the bridge where the heritage of the Silk Road meets the demands of the modern consumer”) has refreshed branding, show themes and a growing international presence making it an unmissable event for the international home and kitchenware industry. Based in Turkey it’s a must-visit for global buyers, trendsetters, and manufacturers to experience the powerful combination of Turkish production strength and worldwide design trends.

Coming back to our company focus sections, we have Porland Porselen where the Cookland range is becoming increasingly popular (“Cookland plays a leading role in creating healthy and enjoyable dining experiences”).

Then there’s Richardson Sheffield, where the new line, the Refinest kitchen gadget collection, has been designed for modern homes, and is shaped to look stylish in the kitchen and deliver everyday performance with ease. Refinest has a curated selection of essential kitchen gadgets, including peelers, graters, scissors, a garlic press, a pizza cutter, foldable grater and a mandoline food grater.

And that’s about it. I (we!) hope you enjoy the read and enjoy the summer ahead.

Alessi launches Easy campaign

Knives decisionlegislationdelay

The Home Office consultation on licensing for knife sales which closed in February, received over 3,000 responses meaning analysis and policy decisions are likely to take several more months.

Steve Richardson, General Manager of BHETA, said “Even if the government proceeds with legislation, the expectation is that implementation would not occur before mid-to-late 2027.”

The consultation followed proposals linked to Ronan’s Law and tougher controls around age verification, online sales, and imports of bladed articles. Since it was first announced, BHETA has maintained an extensive lobbying programme on behalf of members, holding multiple meetings with the Home Office, Metropolitan Police and Border Force

Alessi’s new campaign celebrating spontaneity and playfulness. Easy to be Alessi expresses the brand’s identity through a light, spontaneous, and contemporary narrative. A project that places at its centre the ability of design to transform everyday gestures into moments of surprise and beauty. Objects that embody the finest international creativity, characterised by a design that naturally enters domestic life, becoming part of a continuous interplay between people, spaces, and relationships.

Andrea Incontri, Art Director of the campaign, described his vision: “Easy to be Alessi – this message was my starting point in imagining a narrative capable of highlighting the simplicity of the gestures that unite our lives. Alessi objects come together harmoniously in play, in a continuous exchange among those who inhabit and live in the home. Joyful expressions and moments of surprise become the protagonists of a project that lights up with magic and celebrates everyday happiness.”

Founded in Omegna, Piedmont, in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi, following the local tradition of cold metalworking, the companyhas developed a policy of excellence that has made it a leading exponent of Italian design factories. www.alessi.com

to ensure policymakers understand the practical and commercial realities facing legitimate UK businesses.

The proposed licensing regime would extend far beyond traditional kitchen knives and could potentially affect suppliers and retailers of cutlery, garden tools, trade blades, scissors, and other bladed products.

BHETA’s core message throughout has been that any future legislation must be proportionate, risk-based, and commercially realistic.

Steve Richardson added: “BHETA has consistently challenged the fairness of imposing additional costs and licensing burdens on compliant UK retailers and suppliers while vast volumes of small parcels continue entering the UK from overseas sellers with limited practical inspection at the border.”

IHA publishes 2026 state of the industry report

The International Housewares Association’s (IHA) new MarketScope report reveals that a range of home and housewares categories including kitchen electrics, cookware/bakeware, home comfort + water filtration, and gadgets/cutlery saw sales gains last year.

MarketScope is the first instalment of IHA’s 2026 State of the Industry Report – it provides data and analysis on US market size by category and retail channel.

Derek Miller, IHA president & CEO, said: “There’s no doubt that economic uncertainty made for a challenging year in our industry. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t opportunities. The IHA State of the Industry Report is designed to identify those opportunities and assist companies in making the best strategic decisions for their customers and partners as they plan for the future.”

US home and housewares sales totalled $77.12 billion in 2025, down 0.5% from the previous year.

■ Small appliance sales amounted to $44.94 billion, up 1% from 2024. Small appliances, as defined by Circana’s “Checkout” consumertracking methodology, include kitchen, personal care and home environment electrics.

■ Non-electric housewares sales totalled $32.18 billion, down 2.5% as a whole from 2024. This grouping includes categories such as cookware, bakeware, kitchen tools, gadgets, tabletop, home organization and cleaning items.

Several individual categories within both groups have increases in USD sales:

■ Total kitchen electrics saw a 4% boost as consumers ate and entertained at home more. Growth was led by air fryers, espresso makers, ice shavers/snow cone makers and stand mixers.

■ Cookware/bakeware saw a 4% boost, with baking continuing to make gains. For the first time since 1980, Circana data shows that sales of ready-to-eat baked goods declined, while sales of baking ingredients increased.

■ Home comfort + water filtration grew 2% as changes in weather patterns created a greater need for products to help people stay cool and breathe cleaner air.

■ Gadgets/cutlery increased 2% as consumers ate more at home, but also with a greater focus on convenience and a greater emphasis on protein.

The 2026 IHA State of the Industry Report will be published in three parts:

Part 1: MarketScope – Market sales data on the total US housewares business and key housewares categories, as well as sales by retail channel. (Published in May – available now)

Part 2: MarketOutlook – A detailed look at consumer purchase intent over the next year, as well as the key product features. (Available in June)

Part 3: MarketWatch – In-depth analysis of the primary values influencing consumer attitudes and home lifestyle preferences. (Available in July)

BHETA urges engagement with product safety consultation

The UK government’s new consultation on the UK product safety framework – ‘Product regulation: the UK’s new product safety framework’ – is open until 23 June and BHETA (the British Home Enhancement Trade Association) is urging all UK housewares and small domestic electricals suppliers to engage. While it does contain some risks for UK companies in terms of increases in administration, the main thrust of the proposed new legislation is to require marketplaces to take due care to prevent, identify and remove dangerous products being sold online.

Steve Richardson, General Manager of BHETA, said: “This proposal is an opportunity for UK suppliers to restore fair competition and operate on a level playing field with distant sellers, offering product on marketplaces that would not be acceptable in High Street retail on grounds of safety. It would mean marketplaces having to take greater responsibility for product sold online, verifying seller details, acting against repeat offenders, and ensuring safety information is visible before purchase. The message is simple:

product safety law must catch up with how consumers now shop.”

Responsible UK suppliers already invest in testing, traceability, labelling, standards and recall processes, too often, they find themselves competing with overseas sellers trading online who may not meet equivalent obligations, are hard to trace, and can relist quickly when challenged. The Government cites evidence of unsafe CO alarms, dangerous electrical appliances and toys failing UK safety rules.

Steve Richardson continued: “If marketplaces become legally accountable via this legislation, some non-compliant overseas sellers may leave the market, while others will have to meet UK requirements. That may reduce the volume of ultra-cheap, questionable listings and increase compliance costs for those remaining. It will not remove competition, but it should make competition more honest: price will be less able to depend on ignoring safety, documentation, or accountability.”

UK suppliers selling through marketplaces could face more data requests, listing checks, slower onboarding, or higher platform fees. Poorly designed rules could duplicate paperwork for businesses already doing the right thing.

Richardson concluded: “BHETA members should get involved with the consultation” www.bheta.co.uk

Government to invest millions in ceramics

The UK government has announced £120 million investment fund for the ceramics sector. The Ceramics Industry Support Fund was announced yesterday in parliament by Chancellor Rachel Reeves who said £60 million is being allocated towards capital expenditure to help the ceramics sector invest in equipment, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Another £60 million has been ringfenced to help the ceramics industry fund related costs.

The news has been welcomed across the industry with Portmeirion Group CEO, Michael Scheepers, saying: “It is encouraging to see His Majesty’s Government listen and take action to support UK ceramics with the announcement of a £120m fund that recognises the important role that our sector contributes to British industry,” Mr Sheepers continued: “We look forward to finding out further details of how the scheme will function and working with industry partners to make best use of the funds. This action underpins our confidence to continue our investments as we look to elevate our heritage brands

to a wider global consumer and drive our export business.

He continued: “Portmeirion is a champion of UK ceramics and our stable of brands are steeped in the rich heritage of British craftmanship and design. We are already a major sector employer and exporter of UK ceramics and the international opportunity for our brands is at the heart of our growth plans."

“In 2025, we committed to UK manufacturing and the City of Stokeon-Trent with the launch of our ‘Made in Stoke-on-Trent’ strategy which will significantly increase UK production of our branded tableware products over the next two years. To date this has seen us produce 7% more branded pieces of tableware in Stoke in the last financial year alone.

“Alongside others in the industry we will continue to lobby hard for further support for UK ceramics exports, including the vital Ceramics (UK Country of Origin) Marketing Bill (aka “The Backstamp Bill”) which aims to promote consumer transparency and protect British craftmanship and UK jobs.”

Black Edge Knives

The maximum grade steel knives are made of a highperformance German alloy with an “Ice Hardening” treatment. This is a cryogenic tempering process that brings the blade to sub-zero temperatures, making it harder, more stable, and more durable.

Over the past two years, Sambonet has embarked on a rebranding journey that has consolidated its position in the tableware world – historically its core area of expertise. Today, this evolutionary process continues with a renewed focus on the kitchenware category, seen as a natural extension of the Sambonet universe thanks to the close connection between table and kitchen. Having established its authority in table setting, the brand is now ready to bring the same attention to detail, quality, and identity to the tools designed for preparation

Sambonet’s kitchen design & rebranding

Sambonet has identified the need to build a narrative that, starting from its expertise in mise-en-place, creates a dialogue between the kitchen and the table. It positions Sambonet as a brand able to accompany the entire dining experience – providing a truly complete and tangible retail offering.

The “tools for preparation” project is about redefining Sambonet’s scope of action and broadening its storytelling, while maintaining a commitment to an accessible, concrete and clearly recognisable offer.

The Sambonet rebranding is now being extended to the cookware range, in order to build a clear and cross-category brand identity that supports the new collection while remaining consistent with the existing ones. The visual communication of this new product segment development started with

a colour palette that had been part of the brand.

The project objective is that the kitchen becomes a natural extension of Sambonet’s core values; with design, style and know-how belonging as much

to consumers in their everyday lives believing that striving for excellence does not require being a professional chef – it’s about having the right tools to prepare recipes and present them at their best to guests.

“The project objective is that the kitchen becomes a natural extension of Sambonet’s core values”

to the table as to its kitchen and cookware offerings.

The same attention to detail devoted to creating products that are aesthetically refined is applied to ensuring they are also highly functional. Sambonet stays close

It’s all about the table, as with the kitchen, being “The Best for Your Guest”.

Sambonet’s long-standing heritage makes the brand an authoritative reference in cutlery, even though cookware collections have always been part of its

offering. Today more than ever, however, kitchen and table are increasingly connected by the concept of hospitality, as in the way living spaces are experienced. There is also a growing focus on functionality and optimisation – cookware tools are now often brought directly to the table and are becoming an integral part of the mise-en-place.

Sambonet’s 2026 strategy is twofold. Firstly drawing attention to – and reclaiming – the company’s solid positioning in the kitchen segment. The presence here is already-well established including when the brand offered design-driven cookware sets and iconic product such as Pesciera and the Center Line. The second goal is to bring to market an offer that truly responds to consumer needs, without ever compromising on quality and functionality.

Supporting Sambonet in this journey is Paderno’s 100 years of expertise – a historic Italian company specialising in professional kitchenware, with which Sambonet shares both ownership and production facilities.

Two new ranges

Chromatica cookware and Black Edge Knives were unveiled at the 2026 Ambiente trade fair.

Chromatica stands out for the functionality and flexibility of each element. Combined with a removable handle, the products move seamlessly from oven to stovetop, becoming true nextgeneration PFAS-free non-stick casseroles. Its design also makes the collection stackable and spacesaving, while its colours and shapes allow it to be used directly for table

made of German steel and hardened through a cryogenic “Ice Hardening” process, thus ensuring a harder, more controlled and long-lasting edge. The nylon handle, extremely lightweight and ergonomic, gives this new knife collection a distinctive and unexpected character.

service, extending naturally into the dining and living areas.

Black Edge Knives feature an elegant and entirely black aesthetic designed by Sambonet’s inhouse Style Centre and paired with a high technical performance. The matte black blade, coated with Xynflon, is

Soaring through the shows

After previewing its new kitchenware collections at Ambiente, Sambonet is continuing the relaunch of its kitchen category with an omnichannel communication campaign that will support the brand throughout 2026. At the heart of the project is the intention to extend the rebranding introduced in recent years to the cookware range as well, translating the brand’s renewed visual identity into a narrative dedicated to the world of cooking.

The launch of the campaign coincided with Milan Design Week, during which Sambonet collaborated with a renowned Italian magazine on an activation dedicated to cooking, hospitality and new ways of experiencing the table. In the heart of Milan, the “Magic Box” newsstand hosted the new Sambonet kitchen range, presented for the first time to Fuorisalone visitors through its renewed identity.

Matching kitchen utensils available

In May, the project continued at Rinascente Torino – Italy’s first mall dedicated to fashion and lifestyle luxury – with a dedicated installation focused on the brand’s kitchenware proposal. For two months, the department store hosted a corner specifically designed to present Sambonet’s full kitchen offering to the retail public, supported by an OOH campaign displayed on the screens of Turin’s main railway stations.

A central element of the communication plan is also the new influencer marketing campaign across Italy and Germany, involving around twenty creators. Through contents dedicated to the different kitchen lines, the project will showcase the features, functionality and versatility of the products, highlighting Sambonet collections’ ability to adapt to different needs, habits and lifestyles, while never compromising on design and aesthetics, practicality, quality and functionality.

Stelton stelton.com

Stelton, the Scandinavian design company has been a significant force within interior design since its establishment in 1960. Its desire is to continue the Scandinavian design heritage. Not by dwelling in history and tradition for the sake of it, but by using it as a source of inspiration and by refining and developing its unique strengths and ideals in collaboration with international architects and designers.

Alessi has unwrapped Vite: a new Alessi espresso coffee maker. Launched ahead of Milan Design Week 2026, Alessi presented Vite at a special Sunday brunch, where its designer, Phlippe Malouin, welcomed and cooked breakfast for guests.

Vite is the Anglo-Canadian designer Philippe Malouin’s first collaboration with Alessi. Through an approach entirely unprecedented in the company’s history, Malouin’s work is renowned for its distinctive capacity of formal synthesis, with a style may be described as a kind of ‘refined brutalism’; he works

Skelton’s products need to have a purpose, meet consumers’ needs and be functional. It’s all about simplicity and Scandinavian

This design philosophy is the key to Stelton’s success and includes four main categories: timelessness; simplicity; functionality; and innovation.

One of the company’s proudest and key products is the EM77 vacuum jug, launched in 1977 and winner of several design awards. Created by the Danish designer, Erik Magnussen, today it is a design icon around the world. The jug holds one litre and can be used for coffee and tea. The insulating glass insert keeps the liquid hot for hours. Cold too if the jug is used for the likes of ice tea. Besides the rocker stopper it has a screw cap for picnics and transportation of liquids.

on essential geometries, assembling fragments and metal offcuts (mostly metallic) in a creative process that Malouin himself defines ‘Scrapyard Works’ a method that begins quite literally in a scrapyard.

The Vite project originated with a visit to the scrapyard in Ossola (a vast Alpine area in Piedmont, just a few minutes from the shores of Lake Orta, the area where Alessi is based) where Malouin identified a series of primary forms and combined them into various formal proposals. From these studies, one configuration was chosen as the basis for development into the final product.

The boiler of the coffee maker resembles a screw (vite in Italian): the twisting motion required for

its use becomes clear, natural, and immediately understandable. Realised through aluminium diecasting, Vite unites industrial aesthetics softened by a sense of balanced proportion and an obsessive attention to detail – a hallmark of Malouin’s poetics. In contrast to the aluminium body, the knob, handle and top are colourful; colours derived from research conducted within the Alessi workshop in a sophisticated dialogue between object and place of production.

Three versions are available – green, brown, and grey – plus a fourth model featuring an aluminium body and dark-green handle, offered exclusively on alessi.com and in Alessi Flagship Stores.

Review The Inspired Home Show

From knives and utensils to cookware and storage, the Inspired Home Show in Chicago celebrated its 126th edition this year with an innovative mix of product. PR Direct’s Sarah Selzer reports

Dine & décor delights

For more than 80 years, the International Housewares Association (IHA) has hosted the industry’s premier home + housewares trade show. Retail buyers come to Chicago every year to discover new products and innovations, to meet with current suppliers and to find new opportunities for partnership.

This year’s Inspired Home Show has plenty of cookware and kitchenware innovation on offer in the aisles. South Hall is where you’ll find the majority of kitchen products – whether gadgets and utensils or cookware and bakeware and it’s a great place to start your trend-spotting exploration of this show packedfull of design inspiration.

German cookware and accessories brand Carl Mertens was highlighting on the stand the USPs of its cookware – ‘PFASfree, no chemical coatings, rust resistant’ – while other brands let

Another good example of this is Lifetime Brands with a vast display of brands and product including Copco plastic baskets in chalk green with wooden lids and Houdini by Rabbit barware plus Dolly Parton, Farberware, S’well and Built.

Right at the other end in terms of scale is Inventors Corner and Debut, designed for new brands or first-time exhibitors and also hosted in South. There were definitely a few former Inventors Corner products on sale in major stores on the retail tour for instance, so this showcase works.

This year, in terms of cook and kitchenware, there were some well-thought-through products like the ServeNSafe covered bowl, Geo from Blue Crown Cooking Tools (designed for ground beef) and the Tilted Colander (does what the name suggests) and over at the Debut mini expo, iCube claiming “it’s like wrapping your drink in ice!” and three times faster than putting your drink in a freezer. and new exhibitor Magnifique had gained recognition from ATK with the Editor’s Pick Award at the show for its new Combo Air Fryer.

The Inspired Home Show in Chicago is certainly one of the easiest housewares shows to navigate, with dedicated categories across the two vast halls – South with Dine & Décor, which houses most of the kitchenware and cookware offer, and North with Clean & Contain (storage and cleaning) and Wired & Well electricals (SDA and smart home). These are then interspersed with displays on global innovation (retailers and product design),

Retail therapy

It’s worth delaying your flight home by a day to take in the brilliant free retail tour organised by the IHA. This covers some of the malls in the suburbs hosting many of the major US retailers including Pottery Barn, Sur La Table and Crate & Barrel. The day starts with valuable insight (and a free breakfast!) from Peter Giannetti, editor in chief at homepagenews.com and responsible for curating the education seminars at the show. Peter painted a fascinating picture of the market and how housewares businesses need to be in the purchase path of consumers and the new ‘agentive’ rather than generative AI. He ran through the various retailers and how the landscape has changed. A key takeaway: “Our role is to delight the consumer who plays with our products every day – there is still room for exceptional innovative retailing – don’t give up on bricks and mortar as people are still shopping in-store.”

global design, the Debut section with first-time exhibitors and emerging brands.

The thousands of high-level buyers and retail decisionmakers who attend The Inspired Home Show each year aren’t the only visitors. The Show also attracts a wide variety of top-tier consumer, trade, internet and social media professionals.

The Trend Showcase will once again be a key highlight at the Exclusively Show organised by BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association) which returns to the Business Design Centre in London. As the UK’s leading trade event for housewares, tableware, small domestic appliances, and gift sectors, the show brings together buyers, and brands to explore the innovations and insights shaping future consumer demand.

Within this dynamic environment, the Trend Showcase provides a dedicated space for forwardlooking inspiration, combining expert forecasting, curated product displays, and immersive presentations designed to help retailers futureproof their businesses.

Turning insight into commercial advantage

Delivered by long-standing trend forecasting partner Scarlet Opus, the Trend Showcase is widely recognised as one of the most valuable destinations at the show

for buyers seeking clarity on what will shape consumer behaviour in the seasons ahead.

Trends set to influence seasons ahead

This year’s Showcase will introduce three key trends, led by ‘The Dreamers’, a powerful consumer mindset emerging from global uncertainty. While consumers remain aware of instability, they are increasingly seeking emotional lightness, escapism, and small everyday joys. “The Dreamers”

captures this shift, reflecting a growing desire for optimism, comfort, and imaginative experiences in everyday life.

The Showcase will translate this mindset into clear, actionable design and retail direction, exploring how it influences product aesthetics and styling, brand tone of voice and storytelling, as well as customer

experience and engagement.

The Trend Showcase brings insight and application together through a curated product display that brings each trend to life in a clear, tangible way, showing exactly how ideas translate into real retail opportunity.

Alongside this, a dynamic programme of presentations and guided tours runs throughout the space, working seamlessly with the displays to deepen the experience. The presentations introduce each trend and unpack the thinking behind it, while the guided tours connect those ideas directly to the products on show, helping visitors see, in real time, how trends move from concept to commercial application in a way that is both inspiring and immediately actionable.

This year, a dedicated trend presentation will also be introduced for HORECA buyers, designed to highlight how emerging trends are shaping the sector at a time when dining

is increasingly seen as a full, immersive experience rather than just a service.

Cooking up is looking up

Cookware is at the heart of every kitchen – and kitchenware retailer. With so many now turning to cooking as a hobby and to save money, the sector is enjoying a period of significant growth.

The rise of online cooking content, food hacks and easily accessible recipes means more are turning to their own kitchens – and for more than just quick mid-week meals. They are taking up cooking as a hobby, as much as a necessity and creating date night dinners, celebration suppers and more.

In the UK, three quarters of adults are cooking at home –according to a study by product intelligence platform Vypr –whether fully from scratch using some pre-prepared ingredients such as chopped and portioned vegetables or using meal-kit recipes. Less than a fifth are frequently eating ready meals.

Here are some kitchen inspirations.

Sambonet sambonet.com

Sambonet’s new Chromatica range stands out for the functionality and flexibility of each element. Combined with a removable handle, the products move seamlessly from oven to cooker top. Its design also makes the collection stackable and space-saving, while its colours and shapes allow it to be used directly for table service, extending naturally into the dining and living areas.

Sambonet Paderno Industrie is one of Italy's leading companies in high-end cookware, and kitchen accessories, owned by the Coppo family through the Arcturus Group holding.

With over a century of history, the two pillars of

the company, Sambonet for cutlery and Paderno for cookware, embody the industry's best practices, serving both the HoReCa sector and end consumers.

The Arcturus Group is among the world's leading providers of high-quality design products for tables, kitchens and living spaces both in private homes and in the HoReCa industry. It also includes Arthur Krupp, Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther, Thomas, Ercuis and Raynaud. With more than 1,000 employees, the Group is globally active and has offices in Italy, Germany, France, USA and China.

Stelton

stelton.com

The Stelton Brus Carbonator brings the sound of bubbling and freshly made sparkling water right into the kitchen. The slim Brus carbonator saves the environment from large amounts of unnecessary plastic and transport when making sparkling water or soda in reusable bottles at home.

Brus is for anyone who wants the convenience of being able to make their own sparkling water or soda, and who also seeks a stylish design element that can become part of the kitchen decor.

The minimalist design that combines form and function speaks to the Scandinavian design tradition and is a typical example of designer Søren Refsgaard’s desire to cut away all that is superfluous. The design draws on the cylindrical shapes that are classic to Stelton designs.

Form & Function

The cylindrical shape is first seen in the ultra-slim container for the CO2 cartridge, and again in the carbonation button, which users intuitively turn clockwise to adjust the amount of carbonation, and counter-clockwise to detach the bottle from the machine. A simple and elegantly designed operation whose form and functionality speak directly to the heart of design.

BRUS – A drink’s sparkling content that shapes bubbles of air in the drink. The sparkling bubbles of air accompanied by a rushing sound. The swift movement of water creating a rumbling sound; the roar of the sea.
