“I spent eight weeks in Madrid. During this time I participated in the 15 KM Villa de Madrid race. It was a great race from the north side of Madrid near the Real Madrid stadium to the south of the city with the route going past all the important monuments of Madrid. We suffered one heat wave after the next and the whole month of July was in the high 30s and low 40s (degrees Celsius).”
