People person
The company’s proactive approach to preventing issues through its products –rather than firefighting – really interested her, she says “I felt like I had found a company that resonated with my vision for promoting animal health and welfare rather than taking a reactive approach to animal care.
“In the veterinary industry we were always striving for the gold standard. I had the belief that if you are going to make a move, you go to the best. My experience with Lely so far is that it feels like home that it's definitely been the right move,” she says

Meet Caroline Coss: Lely Atlantic's Cluster Manager
With a combination of animal health expertise, business nous and strategic vision
Lely Atlantic’s new Cluster Manager Caroline Coss has ambitious plans to steer Lely towards an even brighter future in the UK and Ireland.
Caroline Coss brings over a decade of experience managing and developing businesses to her new role leading the Lely Atlantic team Driven by a passion for animal health and welfare, and a commitment to meeting the challenges of the agricultural sector, she's keen to spread the word about automation far and wide.
Caroline grew up in an equestrian family and had her first experiences of livestock via members of her extended family who produced beef and sheep. After graduating in equine business management from Moreton Morrell College, she embarked on a career in the animal health industry, working for companies that produced pharmaceuticals for numerous species including companion animals and equines as well as livestock Latterly while working for a company that focused on the dairy sector she became more aware of Lely and its innovative products.

People are her passion and she is keen to continue to develop the team at Lely Atlantic. “As Cluster Manager my role is to provide clear strategy and leadership to the team. My aim is to provide support and guidance to this phenomenal team to ensure our continued growth and success ”
Robot revolution
On the commercial side, Caroline is keen to push for market share through increased adoption of robotics. That will mean sharing the benefits of automation far and wide, she says.
“I want farmers to know that there are options, whether it's to help them with feeding or milking, our portfolio of products is here to help. As a business we contribute to better health and welfare of livestock and to the welfare and profitability of farmers which is a great place to be.
“If we can give farmers a better work-life balance, then that is good for farmers! And if we can help prevent problems like mastitis, or LDAs through our products that is good for animal health and welfare as well as profitability and sustainability.
“These are very exciting times and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. ”
