Longevity fusion for The Knox

Spa consultancy TLee Spas has revealed details of the spa coming to The Knox, Auberge Resorts Collection – when it opens in Dallas, Texas, in 2026.

Being developed by MSD Partners, Trammell Crow Company, Highland Park Village Associates and The Retail Connection, Auberge was chosen to operate the 140 hotel rooms and 48 private residences in 2023.

The property is being built on the doorstep of Dallas’ prestigious Highland Park Village neighbourhood and at the edge of a 3.5-mile urban park that's home to a historic disused section of an 1880 railway route across America called the Katy Trail (shortened from Missouri-Kansas-Texas to MKT).

The 929sq m spa will have 10 treatment rooms including two for

specific skincare treatments, five for massage, two for other body treatments and one luxury suite.

The men and women’s locker rooms will give separate access to tepidariums, saunas, steamrooms and cold rooms for contrast bathing.

Sandra Pérez adds biomagnetism and kinesiology to Ser Casasandra resort

Mexican boutique

wellness hotel Ser Casasandra will introduce a number of healing therapies that use the principles of biomagnetism and kinesiology, to celebrate the property’s 25th anniversary this month.

The new wellness programme, The essence of biomagnetic and kinesiology of knowledge blends alternative medicine practices of biomagnetism (manipulation of the body’s magnetic field with static magnets for pain relief and

energy healing) with kinesiology. The combined holistic therapy is said to restore cellular biochemical balance. The practice is believed to foster physical and energetic harmony by aligning the individual’s energy field with the subconscious, to root out and release emotional difficulties.

Developed by founder Sandra Pérez and neuro-wellbeing practitioner Carlos Cámara, this programme forms part of a wider range of retreats on offer.

Henrik Berghult to add spa to 'At Six' hotel in Stockholm

Nordic Hotels and Resort has told Spa Business it's planning to add a spa to its 'At Six' hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, because the property is in direct competition with the city’s Grand Hôtel Stockholm, which has had a spa since 2009.

In an exclusive interview with Spa Business, Henrik Berghult, COO for Nordic Hotels and Resorts, said the value spas generate at its properties makes up 30 per cent of revenues.

All the spas in the firm’s portfolio are profitable and those with bigger spas generate the most revenue –but the hotels without spas are at a disadvantage.

“Our At Six hotel in Stockholm is in heavy competition with the Grand Hôtel and struggling because that has a spa and we don’t,” he said. “We’re looking to add one because guests staying in five-star properties demand spa facilities and they're key to driving both leisure and weekend business.”

Belle Époque

Corinthia has opened its new Sisley-branded spa at the Grand Hotel Astoria in Brussels with spaces curated to create tranquility

The spa concept celebrates Brussels' historic lacemaking tradition and features Sisley Paris

Corinthia Grand Hotel

Astoria has unveiled its Sisley-branded spa in Brussels, Belgium, following a major refit of the entire Belle Époque property –with ESPA Design consulting on the wellness journey and experience. The restored 100-year-old landmark property opened the doors to its 126 rooms and suites recently.

The

spa facilities

The property’s newly-opened subterranean spa measures 1,200sq m and has six treatment rooms. It was designed following a collaboration between interior designers GA Group and ESPA to encompass organic details such as marble accents, brass elements and warm oak finishes to fuse classical grandeur with modern luxury.

The spa concept celebrates Brussels' lacemaking tradition and features Sisley Paris. This will be Corinthia’s second global spa collaboration with Sisley following the launch of The Surrey Spa at The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel – which opened in New York in October 2024.

There's also a sauna, aroma-infused steamroom, ice fountain and experience showers for contrast bathing. Kemaqua installed the thermal facilities. The spa also has a tea room for guests to relax and enjoy light refreshments and a retail boutique, along similar lines to Corinthia's London property.

Treatments

In addition to consulting on the design for the spa, ESPA provides treatments, including aromatherapy experiences and an exclusive option available only at Corinthia Brussels – the ESPA City Recharge Ritual. This is a 120-minute full body

massage designed to improve circulation and relieve muscle tension. Spa therapists use warmed volcanic stones to carry out the body treatment and chilled cryo globes for the facial massage. An isotonic eye mask is applied and guests also get a scalp massage. This treatment costs €310 (US$351, £260).

Sisley options include a 60-minute Black Rose Treatment for the face and body. Quartz stones are used during the facial to plump the skin – this treatment is also charged at €310 (US$351, £260).

Jackie O'Hare, global commercial director, ESPA Design, told Spa Business, "The Spa at Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria has been designed for a seamless journey of wellness, where every detail invites immersive relaxation." ●

■ The Zen bathrobe is a lightweight kimono-style robe with a subtle rice weave pattern for breathability and elegance

BC Softwear launches lightweight Zen bathrobe for spas in warmer climates

BC SoftWear has introduced the Zen bathrobe to its collection of luxury spa linen, bathrobes and accessories.

The bathrobe is a lightweight kimono-style robe, designed to keep spa guests cooler in facilities in warmer parts of the world and in urban spaces.

Sam Cooke, director and head of international sales, said, “The Zen robe was developed as a direct response to what we were hearing from our international partners.
