ABOUT LEIGH
With a degree in graphic design and relative photography experience, Leigh began a career as a designer/art director. She utilized her photography skills in college and throughout her design career, but her passion for portrait photography truly ignited with the birth of her first child. Capturing those sweet, priceless expressions wa s exciting and addicting. In 2009, Leigh Roth Photography was born as a side business to her full-time design position. It wasn’t long before Leigh left the corporate world and launched what has become Cleveland’s premier photography studio. 12 years later, Leigh still gets just as excited about her work as the day of her first session and now, more than ever, she realizes the importance of celebrating a child at every age. With a unique and clean style, and through her strong connection with children, Leigh creates timeless portraits capturing the purity of childhood.
A NOTE FROM LEIGH:
I’m assuming you’re expecting, thinking of expecting or know someone who is expecting. Congratulations! I’m really excited that you are looking into maternity and/or newborn photography. The newborn session is special, unique, and truly once-in-a-lifetime. As your children grow older, you forget how tiny their hands and feet once were and how they nestled into your arms so perfectly. I’m here not only to capture those moments, but to turn those moments in to creative works of art that can be admired and cherished for years to come.
My artistic style is simple, modern and natural. I believe in creating classic and timeless portraits. With all sessions, it’s important that the subjects always look comfortable and relaxed, free of forced smiles and awkward poses. Capture this beautiful time in your life with a maternity session. Our studio provides indoor and outdoor opportunities. We are also available to go on-location. Maternity sessions most often take place between 28-36 weeks.

NEWBORN SESSIONS
The newborn session is the most unique and captures a once-in-a-lifetime moment. As your children grow older, you forget how tiny their hands and feet once were and how they nestled perfectly into your arms. Newborn sessions typically take place 7-14 days after birth. At this time, the baby is still sleepy enough to be nude, frequently posed, and adjusted without waking.
STUDIO SESSIONS:
Our studio is very comfortable and sanitized daily. Newborn safety is our top priority, and we take all precautions to keep your little one in the best of care. We have endless props in-studio, from headbands and hats to wraps and blankets to buckets and stools. There is no need to bring outfits
for your newborn (unless you want to, of course). We think of our newborn sessions as a nice time for mom and dad to sit back, relax, and even get some muchneeded rest.
IN-HOME SESSIONS:
The in-home newborn session is the perfect alternative for families that are not quite ready to venture out. These sessions are very different from our studio sessions as they take on a lifestyle feel. While this session is primarily to capture the essence of your life as a growing family with a light, lifestyle feel, Leigh will also bring a handful of props including wraps to create beautiful posed imagery, as well.

THE ‘OH BABY!’ COLLECTION
The growth and changes that occur in a baby’s first year are incredible! The ‘Oh Baby’ Package is a wonderful way to capture all of the amazing milestones from the sleepy and sweet newborn to the smiley sitter to the crawling, standing (or maybe even walking) one-year old! Clients are always in awe of the album they receive at the end of the year.

FIRST YEAR BOOK:
Our heirloom first year books include all of the images purchased over the course of the first year and are exclusively available to ‘Oh Baby’ clients. They are customdesigned and hard bound albums that are sure to be treasured for many years.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
SCHEDULING
Once you have decided to book a session we will gather some basic information about you, your family, and your likes/dislikes in an online client information form. This form will also include a session agreement that outlines all of the terms and conditions. Please be sure to read what’s included in your session in this packet clearly prior to booking. Once we receive your form and deposit you will officially be on the books!
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I SCHEDULE A NEWBORN SESSION AND MY BABY COMES EARLY/LATE?
A. Once your deposit is paid, your due date will be added to the calendar. Your exact session date/time will be set when we have a clear idea of when baby will arrive or once baby has arrived.
Q. IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
A. We will gladly apply your deposit to another session if a cancellation or reschedule needs to take place. However, the deposit is not refundable.
Q. WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE?
A. The sooner, the better. We recommend you schedule at least two months before your due date. We book up quick!
Q. WHAT DO YOU DO IN DIGITAL RETOUCHING?
A. Each photo chosen for purchase is carefully evaluated for composition, tone and facial expressions. Any unwanted elements–such as a stray hair or piece of lint–are removed and facial blemishes are touched up. Color rendering is determined for what works best with the photo. Lastly, additional color enhancements are added as needed. For adults, we smooth wrinkles and fine lines and provide body slimming upon request. We are meticulous in our editing process leaving you with gorgeously crafted images.

I was nervous about getting maternity photos taken. I’m usually very critical of photographs, especially of myself, and especially pregnant. I was afraid I would spend the money and end up disappointed with the photos. The exact opposite was the case.
