It’s time for our Bayhealth Foundation Spring Golf Tournament on May 23 at Maple Dale Country Club in Dover, Delaware. You’re invited to golf with us to support the growth of the Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute in central and southern Delaware.
Earlier this year, our Bayhealth Cardiovascular Services was thoughtfully renamed as Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute. The change demonstrates our proven commitment to world-class cardiovascular care locally.
Every day, our teams demonstrate their commitment to our patients through comprehensive process improvement, disease and procedure-specific accreditation, professional excellence, and community engagements. Thanks to this team, our program is designated as a HeartCARE Center™ of Excellence by the American College of Cardiologists for being a forward-thinking institution that advances the cause of sustainable quality improvement. Not only are we the only hospital in Delaware with this prestigious recognition, but all our programs are backed by accreditations through national organizations.
The golf tournament comes on the heels of the 20th anniversary of Bayhealth’s first cardiac surgery performed in fall 2004 at what is now our Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus. Since the inception of the program, it’s grown from offering only cardiology care to now boasting a robust cardiothoracic surgical program as well as nationally recognized, minimally invasive structural heart, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology programs.
Your support of our golf tournament will help fund new Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Lab equipment at both Bayhealth Kent and Sussex campuses; expansion of non-invasive cardiac testing; and a medical office building that will be home to specialty clinics, non-invasive testing and offices for our clinicians all under one roof conveniently located for everyone we care for.

Our location, at Maple Dale Country Club, is known for maintaining a high standard of excellence as one of the finest facilities in Delaware. Located approximately 10 minutes from Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, this USGA championship rated 18-hole course is as challenging and fun, as it is beautiful, having only one recorded score below par in a 36 hole tournament. Maple Dale offers a mature course set amidst a wooded terrain, dotted with various ponds.
