FA L L 2 0 2 2 Dear Friends, We are excited to invite you to the ninth consecutive Bayhealth Foundation Golf Tournament this October 14 at The Rookery in Milton, Delaware. October commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this event will directly support the fight against breast cancer locally through Bayhealth’s cancer program. Your participation will strengthen our continued work to offer innovative treatments and services for community members bravely battling breast cancer and other types of cancers. Through clinical expertise and personalized care, our talented Bayhealth Cancer Center team offers hope for a healthier future for every cancer patient at Bayhealth Kent and Sussex Campuses. Using advanced technology and the highest quality standards, we remain focused on early detection and treatment of breast cancer, as well as other types of cancers that are prevalent in our state, to improve patient outcomes. Bayhealth offers a team of nurse navigators who compassionately guide patients through each step after a breast cancer diagnosis, aiding and supporting them in their journey to better health. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute provides funding for uninsured and underinsured patients to reduce out-of-pocket costs for yearly mammography screenings, as well as diagnostic workups, if needed. We are honored to support at-risk groups by providing screenings and services to further fight cancer in Delaware. Our cancer programs have expanded in recent years to meet the growing needs of our community. We offer genetic testing and counseling through our partnership with Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center Telegenetics Program. And Bayhealth Kent Campus was the first in Delaware and one of fewer than 50 programs in the U.S. recognized by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC). Our location: The Rookery 27052 BROADKILL RD, MILTON, DE 19968 The Rookery Golf Club opened August, 2000 and has become a local favorite on the Delmarva peninsula. Set between swelling mounds to the west and a heron rookery to the east lies the championship 18 hole layout offering a wonderful playing experience for golfers of all abilities. 2004 Senior British Open Champion Pete Oakley and Golf Course Superintendent Chris Adkins designed The Rookery to be challenging, but fun for all skill levels. The course features well-conditioned bentgrass greens, tees and fairways that will add to every golfer’s enjoyment. The course is minutes away from the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach area! ENTRY DEADLINE:
