FA L L 2 0 2 6 Dear Friends, We are pleased to invite you to the Bayhealth Foundation Fall Golf Tournament on Oct. 2 at Southern Delaware Golf Club in Milford, Delaware. Join us for a day of golf and camaraderie while supporting the Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute and helping ensure advanced cardiovascular care remains available close to home for our neighbors in central and southern Delaware. Since being renamed as Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute, our program has expanded access to leading cardiovascular care across the region. Most recently, we opened our dedicated Heart & Vascular Institute location in Dover, bringing multiple heart and vascular services together under one roof to improve convenience and coordination for patients. This commitment to excellence has earned Bayhealth designation as a HeartCARE Center™ of Excellence by the American College of Cardiology. Bayhealth continues to invest in advanced technology, innovative programs and exceptional team members to deliver the latest cardiovascular treatments throughout the communities we serve. Recent advancements include minimally invasive mitral valve surgery, complex endovascular aneurysm repair, expanded cardiac catheterization services in Sussex County and the launch of a minimally invasive coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) program, with the first procedure anticipated this fall. Thanks to philanthropic support, patients can receive these highly specialized services without traveling long distances for care. Proceeds from this tournament will support the continued advancement of the Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute through new cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab equipment at both Bayhealth Kent and Sussex campuses, expanded non-invasive cardiac testing and continued development of advanced surgical, vascular and interventional programs. Looking ahead, Bayhealth plans to enhance access in southern Delaware through a new medical office building adjacent to Bayhealth Sussex Campus and future interventional lab expansion projects. Originally opened in 1960 as a 9-hole course known as Shawnee Country Club, Southern Delaware Golf Club is now a unique 18-hole Parkland style golf course nestled just outside of historic downtown Milford. Opened in May of 2024, the challenging yet fair course has been completely renovated featuring brand new bunkers and greens sure to delight golfers of all ages and abilities.
