We are excited to invite you to the 10th consecutive Bayhealth Foundation Southern Golf Tournament on Sept. 21 at Heritage Shores Golf Course in Bridgeville. Now coined “Go Pink at the Links” as an official extension of Bayhealth’s annual Go Pink! efforts, this event will directly support the fight against breast cancer locally through the Bayhealth Cancer Institute. Your participation will strengthen our continued work to offer innovative treatments and services for community members bravely battling breast cancer and other types of cancers.
Through clinical expertise and personalized care, our talented Bayhealth Cancer Institute team offers hope for a healthier future for every cancer patient at Bayhealth Kent and Sussex Campuses. Using advanced technology and the highest quality standards, we remain focused on early detection and treatment of breast cancer, as well as other types of cancers that are prevalent in our state, to improve patient outcomes.
Bayhealth offers a team of nurse navigators who compassionately guide patients through each step after a breast cancer diagnosis, aiding and supporting them in their journey to better health. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute provides funding for uninsured and underinsured patients to reduce out-of-pocket costs for yearly mammography screenings, as well as diagnostic workups, if needed. We are honored to support at-risk groups by providing screenings and services to further fight cancer in Delaware.
Our cancer programs have expanded in recent years to meet the growing needs of our community. We offer genetic testing and counseling through our partnership with Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center Telegenetics Program. And Bayhealth Kent Campus was the first in Delaware and one of the first 50 programs in the U.S. recognized by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC).

Heritage Shores Golf Course opened in 2007 and has since become a local favorite on the Delmarva peninsula. Designed by Arthur Hills, the par 72 course is just over 7,000 yards in total and is perfect for every skill level. Its strategically placed bunkers, undulating fairways and water obstacles will challenge and test each player’s abilities. Golfers are offered a selection of five tees providing a unique and fun experience with every round regardless of skill level. The complex also boasts a two-acre grass practice tee and putting green, and multiple short game practice areas including bunkers, practice mats, six target greens, and three Sonix wedge targets.
