Legendary Upgrade

The System: Central Vacuum for grain, and animal feed addi�ves.

The Challenges: The system had an old Invincible Vacuum primary receiver and filter unit. The filter elements were passing dust through the collector.

The discharge valves are not explosion isola�on devices.

Eliminate confined space entry when doing filter changes.

The Legends Solu�on: The Legends RT filter was u�lized for the filters unit because it offered a topremoval filter change. A service ladder with a safety cage was included to access the top-hinged doors.

No confined space entry is required when changing the filters.

The frame was customized to fit under an exis�ng obstruc�on.

Mul�ple Inlets: The plant is planning to bring different areas of the plant back online one zone at a �me. The filter was supplied with inlets caped that can be connected to the other areas of the plant in the future.

DISCHARGE VALVES: The old system used a flap valve. The flap is not an NFPA explosion isola�on device. The flap was also not able to sealed �ght to the bulk bag. The wind could carry dust away when the flap would discharge.

SOLUTION: A NFPA compliant rotary airlock. The airlock has a level sensor and finger guard under the valve to alert the facility when a bag is full.

The stub has a vent to allow for leakage air out of the bulk bag. When the bag is empty, without this, the bulk bag will be pulled up into the airlock. This configura�on allows the bag to be sealed �ght and prevents dust from blowing away.
