The System: Central Vacuum for grain, corn, soybean, and related dust from a mul�-floor manufacturing facility.

The Challenges: The site had limited headroom and required explosion protec�on for handling combus�ble dust.

The collected dust needed to go to a conveyor handling waste from other dust collectors and waste dust.

The site did not want confined space entry when doing filter changes.

Controls needed to be convenient for the operators so they could rapidly turn the system on from any floor without the need to go back to the vacuum to turn it on.

The Legends Solu�on: The Legends RR filter was u�lized for the filters unit because it offered top removal filter. This setup allowed the filter to fit by spanning two levels. The filter bags and all maintenance are handled from the clean side of the filter on the upper floor.

No confined space entry is required when changing the filters. Access to the �mer board, solenoids, and diaphragm valves is all conveniently accessible.

Explosion Protec�on: The filter was built with a sidemounted explosion relief panel that was ducted to the exterior.

An explosion panel burst sensor was supplied to indicate if the panel should rupture to shut down the system and alert the facility.

Dust Reclaim: The filter discharges through a chute to the rotary airlock mounted on the floor below.

Bolted access doors were added above and below the airlock should maintenance need to clear a blockage.

System Controls: The control panel for the system was supplied with mul�ple start / stop sta�ons. As well as an adjustable run �mer. If any of the start sta�ons are pressed, the system turns on and runs for 30 minutes and then turns off, unless a buton it pressed to reset the �mer.
