CUSTOM DESIGN & ENGINEERING
CUSTOM LUG DELIVERY
Our comprehensive approach included a meticulous review of cable types used, busbars and application specifications. We conducted sample testing of cables with lugs designed for the specific application, ensuring compliance with AS/NZ standards.
The final lugs delivered a fully custom engineered design, incorporating close collaboration with suppliers, compatibility with customer tools & dies and comprehensive quality checks. The two hole bi-metal custom lugs were delivered in adherence to crucial delivery deadlines at the project site.
The Cabac team were provided with datasheets for the cable that was being used. Based on a detailed review of the requirement and the cable specification, Cabac recommended bolted lugs.
Based on Cabac’s attention to reviewing detailed requirements, the original request from the customer was adjusted to a more fit for purpose PSU compression DC lug.
This recommended change avoided potential lost time, money and rework for the customer.
Cabac was able to provide an extended range of products to the specifications requested by the EPC contractor.
Products included earthing components, c-connectors, heat shrink tubes, end caps, standard lugs and of utmost importance was the ability to supply BEP certified corrugated conduit reels in orange, grey and solar grey. All products were delivered direct to site.
IRREGULAR CABLE SIZE SOLUTION
The customised lugs and the accompanying new tooling underwent design in just two days, with a sample promptly sent to the client for approval. Upon placing the order, meticulous coordination became imperative to ensure a seamless supply of base materials to our manufacturing plant in Sydney, enabling our team to meet the manufacturing deadline.
Throughout this process, consistent communication was maintained with the client to keep the electrical contractor informed about the progress, thereby instilling confidence that the order would be fulfilled within the specified timelines.
LV MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS
Cabac was able to provide an extensive range of products, including LV requirements of both custom and standard lugs.
Lugs included bi-metal, copper and aluminium with appropriate tin plating based on site requirements. The extended range of products supplied included c-connectors, earth rods, heat shrink tubes (medium/thin wall glue), cable ties, tapes, DC terminations kits, glands and end caps.
All delivered on time directly to site.
