Greetings from the President The Legacy of Pearls Foundation, Inc. (LOPF) has been hard at work and is happy to announce that we are diligently working to meet our goal for the year. I would like to take this time to thank our corporate sponsors who helped to make all of this possible. GA Power Foundation, Subaru of Kennesaw, Subaru of Atlanta, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Target who gave us generous donations. We are excited to be able to offer students of Douglasville, Georgia $10,000 in scholarships to pursue their degrees in higher education. It is our hope that through continued community sponsorships and activities we are able to grow these numbers every year.
LOPF will continue to be in the community! We will continue to strive to make an impact and a difference in the lives of the families of Douglas County. We have several ways that you can make an impact if you also want to be a part of our efforts. The Legacy Donor Spotlight We are always eager to partner with businesses that support community growth and development. BOOKBAG ROUND-UP! In partnership with Sigma Omega Omega Chapter, LOPF is collecting bookbags and school supplies for students in the Douglas County community. Our goal is to collect 600 bookbags filled with supplies to distribute at the Book Bag Blitz & Resource Fair on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Next Bookbag Drop-Off Date: June 24 at the Douglasville Conference Center from 9am-10am & 12pm-1pm. Supporters can make donations on the Legacy of Pearls website. A $25.00 tax deductible donation will sponsor a backpack filled with supplies to a student.

The Legacy Giving of your Time and Talents Time is Precious. Giving of your time and talents is just as important as making monetary donations. Our volunteers are filled with resourceful information that helps everyone succeed. As a non-profit, we have a variety of opportunities to participate in group activities that in turn reward the Foundation with a donation. Volunteers are the most important resource a community organization can have. The ability of people to work willingly together for the betterment of their community is a valuable resource. We appreciate our volunteers!

Creating A Legacy Scholarship Establishing a legacy is a lasting way to honor someone by providing a scholarship for students continuing their post secondary education. Donors are be responsible for raising funds for their named Legacy Scholarship. In order to be administered, scholarships must be a minimum of $2000.00.
