So many individuals and families have spent years of hard work and planned breedings to produce the animals exhibited in Grand Island. Just the effort to raise, feed and show any one year is staggering. To be chosen to judge the National Show is indeed an honor and great responsibility. To have the privilege of helping choose the bucks and does that will influence Boer Goats for many years was very humbling! The desire to choose the right animals was so rewarding for me and hopefully the Boer Goat industry. The association and people directly responsible for the show were great to work with and any problem that arose during the show was quickly dealt with. I would love the opportunity again, but feel so fortunate to have been able to serve at this capacity!

It was pleasure sorting through some of the best goats in the country.
I enjoyed seeing the exhibitors faces. Handing a banner to a national champion or reserve champion is something I'll never forget.
Each year, I hope to continue making an impact on the industry and in the lives of our future breeders.
One of the ways I keep active in our industry is through my job as the Foodways Director at Hindman Settlement School.
Thank you ABGA members for your confidence in me. It was an honor to be selected as a national judge twice in a row - the first year as part of the junior's judging team and the second as an open show judge.
