2026-2027 Uniform & Appearance Standards Early Learning - Pre-K 3 - Kindergarten Daily Wear (Monday-Thursday) Shirts Green, white, or black short- or long-sleeved polo-style shirts with the Legacy crest must be purchased from Risse Brothers School Uniforms. Please note: A green short-sleeved polo-style shirt is required. Pants, Shorts, Dresses, and Skorts Khaki-colored pants, shorts, and girls’ skorts may be purchased from a vendor of your choice. Khakis must be flat-front or pleated and may not be cargo-style. Belts are not required in Early Education. Girls may also wear the following styles purchased from Risse Brothers School Uniforms A green polo-style dress Plaid skorts A Legacy plaid jumper paired with a white button-up Peter Pan shirt (all from Risse Brothers) Black modesty shorts or solid black or white leggings must be worn under all skirts or jumpers. Footwear Shoes and boots must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Athletic shoes are required on PE days. Shoes may not have lights, wheels, or bells. Slippers are not permitted. Spirit Dress (Fridays and designated spirit days) Students may wear Legacy Spirit apparel purchased from Feather & Talon along with uniform skort, blue denim jeans, shorts, or khaki bottoms. The following are not permitted: Jeggings Apparel with holes, rips, decorations, elastic waistbands, or cut-off hems The length and fit of all garments must meet modesty guidelines. Please note: Cheer uniforms and athletic team uniforms are not considered Spirit Wear for ELC and Lower School students. Outerwear Daily outerwear "that will be worn inside the building" must be purchased from LCA-approved vendors: Risse Brothers, Dennis Uniforms, or the LCA Store. Approved outerwear may be worn any day during the school year. For recess, students may wear any coat or jacket. Hair Hair must be neat in appearance and of a natural color or highlight. Radical hairstyles are not permitted. For boys: Hair must be above the eyebrows in the front Not below the middle of the ear on the sides Above the collar in the back Hair may not be held in place by bands or tucked behind the ears Cosmetic products are not permitted. Plaid skirts and skorts must be purchased from Risse Brothers School Uniforms. Girls may wear solid black or white leggings with their skirts or skorts. Undershirts must be solid white. Pants, Shorts, Skirts, and Skorts Khaki-colored pants and shorts may be purchased from a vendor of your choice. Khaki-colored skorts are allowed for 5th grade girls only and may also be purchased from a vendor of your choice. Khakis must be flat-front or pleated. Cargo shorts or pants are not allowed. No holes, rips, decorations, elastic waistbands, or cut-off hems may be present in any apparel. Shorts for young men must not be tight-fitting and must also meet the modesty guideline of mid-thigh or longer. Plaid skirts and skorts must be purchased from Risse Brothers School Uniforms. Skirts must not be tight and must be of modest length (mid-thigh or longer). This length requirement applies even if leggings are worn underneath. Black modesty shorts or solid black or white leggings must be worn under all skirts. Girls may also wear solid black or white leggings with their skirts or skorts. Footwear Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Shoes may not have lights, wheels, or bells. They must not be a safety hazard. Boots may be worn with pants. Slippers, house shoes, crocs, and flip-flops are not permitted Spirit Dress (Fridays and designated spirit days) Students may wear Legacy spirit apparel purchased from Feather & Talon along with uniform skirt/skort, blue denim jeans, khaki shorts, or khaki pants and a Store-approved top or House T-shirt. The following are not permitted: Jeggings or yoga pants Distressed shorts or pants Decorations, elastic waistbands, or cut-off hems All garments must meet modesty guidelines in both length and fit. No holes, rips, decorations, elastic waistbands, or cut-off hems are permitted. Plaid skirts and pants must be purchased from Risse Brothers School Uniforms. Skirts and shorts must not be tight and must be a modest length (mid-thigh or longer). Skirts must meet length guidelines even when worn with leggings. Black modesty shorts or solid black or white leggings must be worn under all skirts. Footwear Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Shoes may not have lights, wheels, or bells. They must not be a safety hazard. Boots may be worn with pants.
