DID YOU KNOW? THE ANNUAL FUND serves as the primary vehicle to raise significant operational funds for curriculum and program enhancement, professional development, and institutional priorities.

ONE OF THE GOALS of the 2018-2019 Annual Fund is to achieve 100% participation from our trustees, faculty/staff and our parent community – and to double the number of gifts from grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends of LCA. Building our base of support is an ambitious goal – but an important one.

It will secure our place as a leading, innovative, Christ-centered private school, and will make a bold statement about the pride and confidence that Legacy’s community feels about LCA. ANNUAL FUND SUPPORT is an independent school tradition – both locally, and in schools across the nation. It is part of the culture and legacy that enables independent schools like Legacy Christian Academy to provide students with excellence in the classrooms, on the playing fields, and through the myriad of activities over and above that provided by tuition dollars.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WHY DOES LCA NEED TO RAISE MONEY? Simply put, tuition covers the basics. The Annual Fund provides a margin of excellence over and above that afforded by tuition – providing crucial support for program enhancements, improvements to our buildings and grounds, and new initiatives to ensure we continue to provide the very best in Christ-centered education.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE? Each gift supports the current year’s programming. We hope everyone can find a way to participate according to their means.

Last year gifts to the Annual Fund ranged from $25 to $50,000. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and every gift makes a difference!

DOES PARTICIPATION REALLY MATTER? Yes! When Legacy Christian Academy applies for grant support from foundations, one of

the first questions often asked is – “What is the current level of participation among your own constituents?” Robust participation in annual giving from those closest to the school – parents, trustees, and faculty/staff – is critical to our ability to secure support from foundations and corporations. Your gift is a testament to your belief in LCA’s mission and your desire to ensure that it continues.

CAN I DESIGNATE MY GIFT? Yes! At Legacy Christian Academy we understand that some individuals prefer to designate how their gift will be used. As a supporter of the Annual Fund, you have the opportunity to direct your gift to one or more area(s) that most closely matches your passion and philanthropic interests.
