The design language of Bardo is rooted in local culture, but a local culture of contrast and subtle rebellion.
Our ‘riot clash’ aesthetic is derived from the freespirited mixing of traditional styles seen across Savannah's architecture and interiors.
This sense of experimentation, a bit contrarian, is our way of embracing a historic property with an open mind acknowledging that this small historical town is no stranger to the wider world of design through history.

On one hand, we will set the stage for the most well-produced and glamorous events hosted in the city. On the other, we will celebrate the imperfections of how one event collides with another and creates an atmosphere of unexpected happenings.
The spirit of Bardo is that of an urban resort.
This feeling will guide decisions in how the space is set and the guests are served But this resort is not a pristine escape The goal is to share the space, to play host, to feel at home among the ever-changing community of guests.

The Bardo is a collection of buildings built over time with an easy imperfection in the details.
An enthusiastic embrace of this imperfection serves as dogma for the renovation and expansion We believe there is magic to be found in bringing this way of thinking into every aspect of how the place becomes ‘presentable’ for a more contemporary audience.
This sense of beautifully broken glory is a welcome addition to expected, and overly curated commercial environments.

The Pool & Bar Bibi
A pool by the sea
Urban resort in its most literal expression.
Inspired by sunbathing on the Mediterranean coast, the Bardo pool and grassy knoll will be energized by members and guests with cabanas booked poolside.
Bar Bibi with its exposed brick oven, will offer pizzettas served alongside bright salads and crudo while the sound of ice tinkling permeates from the roaming spritz and gelato cart.

Carriage House
An everyday open house
A flexible space for events, programming and everyday open houses. A reference to the space's architectural design, reminiscent of an elegant and modern carriage house.
Harkening back to the former mansion's original use as a private home in the late 1800's, the Carriage House adjacent to the event lawn and with its own street-side entrance is a destination within itself
The Ballroom
A story like yours deserves a space memorable enough to inspire it.
Our ballroom 3,500 square feet, storied and showstopping—can accommodate weddings and events of up to 200 guests.
Three sets of French doors open onto The Courtyard leading to leisurely cocktails, quiet conversation and impromptu dance parties.
