THE PLAYERS
RYLAN LOWE (Shrek) (He/Him) is a student at Catawba college with a major in Entertainment Industries and a minor in Theatre Arts. He is excited to be back performing at Lee Street. You may have seen him in the past production, Picasso At The Lapin Agile (Picasso). Or in shows at Catawba, such as Carrie: The Musical (Freddy) and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Man 2). Rylan would like to thank his family for their love and support.
JOVEY MCFARLAND (Fiona) (she/her) is excited to return to Lee Street, this time for a musical! Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she is a rising senior at Catawba pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Some of her credits include Kate Monster (Avenue Q), Dance Captain/Lead Jitterbug (The Wizard of Oz), and Woman 2 (I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change) at Catawba College, Schwarzy (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) at Piedmont Players Theatre, as well as Agnes (She Kills Monsters) at Lee Street Theatre. She wants to thank her family for their continued support as she pursues her passion, even if it means being far from home. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
JAMAAS BRITTON (Donkey) (He/Him/His) is excited to join the cast of Lee Street’s production of Shrek the Musical. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from Limestone College and Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Over the years, Jamaas has been blessed to have done a multitude of commercial work, short films, and musicals for projects in and out of the Carolinas. Some of the productions that Jamaas has been a part of during his career has been Cal in Waitress the Musical at West Virginia Public Theatre, Magill in The True Story of the Three Little Pigs at CTC, Franz in Actors Theatre of Charlotte’s Rock of Ages, Rocky in Rocky Horror Show at ATC, TJ in Sister Act at Matthew’s Playhouse, and many other projects. He is very excited to bring Donkey to life so grateful to work with Rod Oden and Lee St. Theatre. He thanks God, his family, and friends for all of their support so far.

KIARA CAROL (Pinocchio/Mouse) Kiara Carol is thrilled to be bringing a little sparkle and a lot of attitude to the role of the Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical! Previous credits include Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer, Into the Woods, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. When she’s not on the theatre stage, Kiara is the lead singer of the rock band Dovecage, proving that magical transformations and rock anthems aren’t as different as they seem. She would like to thank her family for their endless love and support (and for putting up with her dramatic personality... look mom and dad, it’s paying off!). Enjoy the show!
MARC ANDERSON (Big Bad Wolf/Thelonious) Marc Victor Anderson is blessed and thankful to be continuing his theatre career once again on the Lee Street stage for “Shrek the Musical”. Father of two wonderful boys, eater of sloppy joes, and believer that this building is 100% haunted.
MADDYN SANDERS (Teen Fiona) Hi, I’m Maddy Sanders, a high school senior with a passion for musical theater!
ELIANA SLADE (Young Fiona/Baby Bear) Eliana is a Freshman in High School and is very excited for her first show with Lee Street Theater. Some of her favorite roles include Annie (Annie), Gertrude (Suessical Jr.), and Sebastian (Little Mermaid Jr.). Eliana loves to pass her time by singing (like someone else she knows) and reading stories by candlelight. She loves being on stage in her element and can’t wait to be in Shrek this summer!

LILLY ROSE GARIEPY (Humpty) Lilly Rose is an Eighth grade student from Rowan county. This is her debuting role at Lee St. Theatre. She was recently honored to be a soloist in the RSS All county honors chorus and is thrilled to be joining the musical theatre program at the Arts Academy at Jesse C. Carson High School next year.
ACE “ROXANNE” DUFOUR (Mad Hatter/Guard) Ana “Roxanne” Dufour is thrilled to be performing in their 5th production with Lee Street Theatre. Recent credits include The Crucible (Betty Parris), Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour (Belle), Holmes/Poirot (Eloise/ Martha), and She Kills Monsters (Orcus/Ronnie) at Lee Street Theatre, along with Dorothy in Wonderland (March Hare) and The Crucible (Daughter of Salem) at Old Courthouse Theater. Roxy is currently a junior at North Iredell High School and plans to pursue a career in the theater arts. They would like to thank their family, friends, and partner for their support.
MICHAEL STOUDMIRE (Papa Bear/Ogre Dad/Guard) is excited to join his fellow fairytale creatures in the swamp this summer! Michael’s previous credits include the Piedmont Players production of The Bodyguard (Bill Devaney), QC Concerts productions of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Hugo/Loco Chanelle) and Ragtime (Company) and Hickory Community Theatre’s production of The Color Purple (Harpo). He is an active member of the Charlotte Master Chorale, a recent addition to the Opera Carolina chorus roster and a section leader for the Royal Voices of Charlotte. Michael would like to thank his family and friends for their unconditional love and support.

MICHELLE GRIFFIN (Pig/Guard/Knight) Hi this is my first lee street show and i’m very excited, i’ve been in beauty and the beast jr and it’s a wonderful life and help choreographed the little mermaid. I just graduated high school and i’m thankful that i get this opportunity outside of high school. (shout out my bestie rose love you)
SYLAR ODEN (Young Shrek/Grumpy) Sylar is thrilled to be returning to the Lee Street Theatre stage! He previously appeared in The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon, brought charm to the role of Chip in Beauty and the Beast, and was a proud ensemble member in Moana. Sylar is excited to once again share the stage with this incredible community and looks forward to many more adventures in storytelling ahead!
JAMES ODEN (Pig Ensemble) James is thrilled to be joining the cast of Shrek as one of the Three Little Pigs—and he promises not to let the Big Bad Wolf steal the show! He has previously appeared on the Lee Street Theatre stage as John in Fun Home and as a Narrator in Beauty and the Beast. He also performed at the Norvell as King Julian in Madagascar and, for many years, delighted audiences as both the Know-It-All Boy and the Hero Boy in The Polar Express in Spencer. He hopes you enjoy the show and all the fairy-tale fun!
BEHIND THE SCENES
JACOB TOTH (Director/Choreographer) is thrilled to be working with The Lee St. Theatre and grateful to work with this production team. He has worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. Theme Parks, Production Revues, Industrials and Special Events, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Pageants, Regional theater, National and International Tours, and Broadway. Transitioning to director/choreographer he has been involved with award winning productions around the country at numerous regional theaters. Jacob was also the assistant choreographer of GREASE on Broadway with Kathleen Marshall and has had the opportunity to work with Jerry Mitchell, Ann Reinking, Rob Ashford and Frank Wildhorn, to name a few. Most recently, he was the Artistic Director of the Encore Center producing/directing 9 shows a year.

DR. COREY GASTON (Music Director) is a multiinstrumentalist in the Charlotte region. A former Marine Corps Musician, he has performed all over the United States, Canada, and the majority of the Pacific Rim. Dr. Gaston has been called upon to perform with The Four Tops, The Tempations, The Buckinghams, The Gaithers, as well traveling national acts. He regularly performs with Davidson Community Players, The Uwharrie Players, Piedmont Players, Hickory Community Theater, Theatre Charlotte, and many more!
EVAN MORENO (Stage Manager) Evan Moreno is returning after a brief hiatus to Lee Street with this fantastic show! He hopes you enjoy!
BEHIND THE SCENES
TYLER REID (Scenic Designer)Tyler Reid Scrivner is a Charlotte-based designer specializing in scenic and prop design for theatre and theme parks. Most of Tyler’s life is spent working in Photoshop and Vectorworks. When not found working, he’s usually either browsing Tumblr or playing Zelda. Long hours playing Nintendo games have no doubt influenced his design aesthetic (if not his actual perception of reality). After receiving his Associates Degree in Theatre Arts from Mesa Community College, he transferred to Arizona State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Design and Production in 2015. He moved to California to attend the University of California, Irvine where he received his MFA in 2019.
ROD ODEN (Executive Artistic Director/ Lighting, Sound and VIdeo Designer) Whether for the audiences on a professional stage or instructing at educational institutions and professional workshops, Rod Oden is proud to have over 25 years experience directing and designing in a variety of venues, genres and audiences. Rod has directed on stages from Los Angeles to New Orleans, and in virtually every type of venue. He enjoys working alongside community members, volunteers and students to help grow and create professional experiences in the theatre. Recent credits include In the Heights, Lombardi, Jekyll and Hyde the Musical, Legally Blonde the Musical, Tick, Tick, Boom!, Wit, The Play That Goes Wrong (NC Premiere), CLUE, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, and How I Learned to Drive. He has worked with countless community theaters, educational organizations and professional troupes to produce quality, high-end productions audiences have enjoyed watching. Rod is blessed and thankful for his beautiful wife Raquel and his four precious boys Tristan, Lucas, Jamie and Sylar. He also enjoys spending time with his two lovely daughters Ariel and Isabelle.
