MEET THE CAST

JONATHAN E.C. WALLACE (Chris/Inspector Carter) is having the greatest time performing on the Lee St Theater stage! As a former professional actor for over ten years, Jonathan has had the pleasure to share the stage with so many wonderfully talented people. This tradition continues at Lee St with the wealth of local talent that truly makes Lee St such a special place to come together for live theater. Professional credits include; Annie Get Your Gun, Next to Normal, Thoroughly Modern Milly, Floyd Collins, and Lyle the Crocodile. Local credits include; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Willy Wonka Jr, and A Christmas Carol. Jonathan would like to thank his wife Lane for her love and for supporting his passion, his mom Mary Ann McCubbin for watching the kids, and his sons Leo and Oliver who think that Daddy is the funniest person alive!

MAXWELL GREGER (Jonathan/Charles Haversham) is excited to be back at Lee Street theatre doing this hilariously funny and fantastic show and working with such a wonderfully talented cast. Maxwell has been acting for five years. You may have seen recently as Hal in “Proof” (Davidson Community Players). Last year he was in “Frankenstein” and “Our Town” here at Lee Street, in “Sweat” last summer at the Warehouse PAC where he played the role of Jason and also in “Clue” at Old Courthouse Theatre as Wadsworth.

NICK CULP (Robert/Thomas Colleymore) is so excited to be back at Lee Street working on this silly play with these talented people! Other LST credits include Brad in “The Rocky Horror Trolley Tour”, (Laurie / Rodrigo in “Little Women,” Will Ogden in “Mothers & Sons” and Will Bloom in “Big Fish.” Nick was most recently seen in PPT’s productions of “Legally Blonde” (Professor Callahan), “title of show” (Hunter) and “Ragtime” (Younger Brother), as well as “Into the Woods” (Baker) with Lexington Live. Recent professional credits include “The Rocky Horror Show” (Columbia) and “The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical (Rufus) at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte. When he’s not onstage, Nick works as a Senior Elections Specialist for the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections. Nick would like to thank Rod for giving him this wonderfully challenging opportunity and his family for their support.

DAN GROGAN (Dennis/Perkins) is beyond excited to return to Lee Street theater to take on the challenge of “The Play That Goes Wrong.” Recently Dan was in Atlantic Beach filming the slasher film “Mutilator 2”. Other recent roles include Wayne Hopkins in “Puffs” (Proxymoron Productions) and Captain Robert Walton in Lee Street’s production of “Frankenstein.”

LAUREN WILSON (Sandra/Florence Colleymore) is thrilled to be spending her first Lee Street theatre production with this talented cast. She has been an active member of the theatre community in Charlotte and surrounding areas for the past several years. Credits include “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” (Madame), “Hairspray” (Amber von Tussle) and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (Philia).

She would like to thank her husband, Duncan, and kids, Graham and Gigi, for their continued support and Rod and Raquel for their hard work and dedication to making sure absolutely nothing goes wrong in this show.

NOAH GOLDSTEIN (Max/Cecil Haversham/Arthur the Gardner) is a sophomore BFA actor at UNCG. He has worked as an actor and intern for many shows this summer and can’t wait to end it with a bang in “The Play That Goes Wrong,” his first production at Lee Street. This has always been his dream show, and he is overjoyed to be able to perform in it.

ASHLEY PEARSON (Annie) is an actor/singer/director originally from Maryland, now based in Winston-Salem and is a proud Latina. Favorite offstage role is as the Theatre Director and Director of Student Life at Salem Academy, where she has the most wonderful students. Ashley is excited to return to the Lee Street theatre stage after playing Belinda in “Noises Off” last year. Other favorite onstage roles include Lauren in “Kinky Boots” and Patsy Cline in “Always...Patsy” (Theatre Alliance), the Witch in “Into the Woods” (Little Theatre of Winston-Salem), Jo in “Little Women” (Town of Lewisville and Vanda in “Venus in Fur” (Spirit Gum Theatre). Hope you enjoy this terrible, whoops, terrific show!

MASON LIVERS (Trevor) is an actor from Charlotte. He has been seen in Catawba College productions “Dog Sees God” (Matt), “Anything Goes” (Sailor), “Twilight: Los Angeles” (multiple roles), “All the Great Books, Abridged” (Coach). Mason has appeared on the Lee Street stage in “Blood Done Signed My Name” (Eddie McCoy / Boo Chavis / Harvey Wilson). He has also been seen in the films “Recollections” (Jay) for KEMistry Motion Pictures, “Reunited” for What A Time Productions and played a henchman in “Birth of A Daywalker” for Lima Films. Mason is super excited to share “The Play That Goes Wrong” with you and hopes you will enjoy it just as much as he will.

MEET THE TEAM ROD ODEN (Executive Director/Director/Scenic Designer) Whether for the audiences on a professional stage or teaching students in a technical workshop, Rod Oden is proud to have over 20 years experience in a variety of venues, genres and audiences. Rod has designed and directed on stages from Los Angeles to New Orleans, and in virtually every type of venue. He enjoys working alongside community members, volunteers and students to help grow and create professional experiences in the theatre. Rod’s experience has provided him a varied theatrical background, including being a former Artistic Director, founding 2 non-for-profit theatre groups, marketing and business systems for the theatre, all the while enjoying the privilege of Technical Directing. Some of his favorite work includes Tuck Everlasting (New Orleans Regional Premiere), Chicago, August: Osage County, The 39 Steps, The Mousetrap, Spamalot, How I learned to Drive, Shrek, and Lombardi (WV Premiere). As Executive Director, Rod continues Lee Street’s strong delivery of productions, concerts and events that exemplify our Mission Statement and Values. He is humbled and honored to work with the incredible theatre artists and community leaders in our region. Rod is blessed and thankful for his beautiful wife Raquel and his incredible children Ariel, Isabelle, Tristan, Lucas, James and Sylar.

BETH BENTLEY (Costume Designer/Deck Crew) is an independent crafts-woman, seamstress, and designer. She has enjoyed volunteering at Lee St Theatre for seven years, on and off the stage. She currently sits as a member of the LST Board. She received a BA in Literary Analysis, with a minor in painting, and a Masters in Information Studies degree from UNC-Greensboro. She has loved working on Play That Goes Wrong. Some of the construction was unusual and challenging, but an enjoyable experience. Her previous Lee Street designs: Seussification of Romeo and Juliet (co-designer), Our Town, Glengarry-Glenross, Sense and Sensibility, Frankenstein, Grease, Vintage Hitchcock: Radio Play, It’s a Wonderful Life: Radio Play, and Fun Home.

Her next show will be Moana Jr. She would like to extend gratitude to those who donated and helped provide materials and personal time for the construction of this show.

RAQUEL ODEN (Stage Manager, Light/Sound Operator) Mollie Jean Wasserman is a recent Catawba College graduate with a BFA in Theatre Performance and a focus in Directing. Prior to her time at Catawba, Mollie studied Musical Theatre at Northwest School of the Arts, where she first discovered directing and stage management. Her previous stage management credits include Legally Blonde, Into the Woods,

The Smell of the Kill, The Odd Couple (Female Edition), and Catawba’s production of She Kills Monsters, which was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19. Mollie is thrilled to be working with Lee Street for a second time, and she is so grateful for the incredible work of this amazing cast and crew!

Lastly, she would like to thank her father and her boyfriend for their continued support of her artistic endeavors. She hopes you enjoy the show!

PETER BENTLEY (Deck Crew) is new to the Lee Street volunteer team. He is a 10 th grader at Graystone Day High School.

He grew up around theatre, due to his parents volunteer involvement with Lee Street. This is his first time working crew, and second time in a production. He was previously Lord Monotone, Paris, and Prologue, in Lee Street’s Seussification of Romeo and Juliet. Peter looks forward to more productions in his future, on and off the stage, and is thankful for this opportunity.

COLLEEN WELDAY (Deck Crew/Scenic Charge) is thrilled to be at Lee Street Theatre as tech and scenic painter for this insane show! You may have seen her name appear in playbills under various crew positions at Catawba College Theatre shows as well as previous Lee Street and Piedmont Players shows. Colleen loves sharing her passion for the magic of live performance and hopes to pursue a career in technical theatre. She hopes you enjoy this production of The Play That Goes Wrong!

JULIA ROCKWELL (Deck Crew/Scenic Painter) is a sophomore at Catawba college and is thrilled to be working with Lee Street for the first time! She has been working in theatre as a technician since 2017. You may have recently seen her name in a playbill for a Catawba Theatre production such as Sonnets for an Old Century or Ruthless! the Musical. She hopes everyone enjoys this production of The Play That Goes Wrong!
