MEET THE CAST
ALLISON PROBA (Crystal) is thrilled to be back on stage at Lee Street Theater for this delightful, iconic show! She was last seen as Jeannie Garstecki in The Great American Trailer Park Musical. When not on stage, Allison works as travel OR nurse and spends her time working on diy projects, hanging out with her 2 cats and 2 dogs, and gardening. But please don’t feed the plants! She can’t wait to be back onstage and break the cycle of “all work and no play.” She would like to thank her friends and family for their continued support. ALEXANDRA HINSON (Ronnette) is super pumped to be performing the role of Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors! Alex will be entering her sophomore year at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro as a Choral Music Education major this Fall! She is so very excited to be continuing her passion of musical theatre, while also studying to become a music teacher! Alex would like to thank her incredibly amazing and supportive friends and family for everything, as well as her current and former teachers who have prepared her in so many ways! ABIGAIL SKIBSTED (Chiffon) is so excited to be on the Lee Street stage once again as Chiffon! She has been on the Lee Street stage in Harvey as Nurse Kelly, Our Town as Mrs. Webb, Grease as Frenchy! She just recently graduate from Catawba College with a Bachelors in Theater Arts with a Minor in Special Subjects K-12 Education. At Catawba she was in Ruthless! The Musical as Lita Encore, The Thanksgiving Play as Alicia and was in the Women’s Chorus of Women in Congress! A special thanks to her amazing cast mates! And she hopes you love and enjoy the show! @abbycskibsted CHRIS BARCROFT (Mushnik) is happy to be back at Lee St. Last time he was on stage here was as Dr. Scott in Rocky Horror. Chris has also performed as Mal in the Addams Family at Old Courthouse; Grandfather in Ragtime and Nicky/Trekkie Monster (and a bunch of other puppets) in Avenue Q at Piedmont Players. When not onstage (or back stage), Chris is a 6th grade science teacher at Northwest Cabarrus Middle School When not working at one of the theaters, he is often riding rollercoasters, his motorcycle, or looking for pinball machines. He would like to send countless thanks to Chris for putting up with his shenanigans. KIERA WHITTEMORE (Audrey) is currently a senior BFA Musical Theatre Major at Catawba. She is so honored to be able to Audrey here at Lee Street as it has been a dream since the first time she saw “Little Shop of Horrors” at age 8! Some of her other roles include Kelly in The Mad Ones, Emma Borden in Lizzie Borden Took an Axe, Jan in Grease, and a featured soloist in Side by Side by Sondheim. She wants to thank all
her faithful family and friends who always show up and her mom especially for being her constant driving companion. You may have recently seen him as Marston and Narracott in and then there were none, Houdini in PPT’s production of Ragtime, Schroeder in You’re a good man Charlie Brown at Lee st. Theater as well as many many more. Outside of the theater life he is also a Graphic Design student at RCCC. He is so excited to have the chance to play this role. He really hopes you enjoy the show!!! MATTHEW DONAHUE (OrinScrivello/Customer/DJ/Wino/ Bernstein/Mrs. Luce/Skip Snip/Patrick Martin) is thrilled to be making his debut in Lee St. Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors. He recently graduated from East Carolina University’s School of Theatre and Dance in 2019. University credits include The Three Musketeers, Peter and the Starcatcher, Hands on a Hardbody, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He has performed professionally across the country, most recently in The Commonweal Theatre Company’s production of The Fox in Lanesboro, MN. TORI CARPENTER (Wino/Audrey II Puppeteer) is so excited to make her Lee Street debut as the Head Puppeteer in Little Shop of Horrors! Tori has a BA in Drama from UNC Asheville and is currently the Theatre Arts teacher at Faith Academy Charter School. Some of her prior roles include Tilly in She Kills Monsters (UNC Asheville), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Piedmont Players), and Marmee in Little Women (Carson Theatre). IRIS DEWITT (Voice of Audrey II) is excited to make her Lee Street debut! Originally from Arizona, Iris has been performing in the greater Charlotte area since 2016 after graduating from law school. Some of her most recent work could be seen in LOVE, LOSS & WHAT I WORE (Stephanie) at Theatre Charlotte, GHOSTS OF BOGOTÁ (Lola) at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, and THE COLOR PURPLE (Shug Avery) at Hickory Community Theatre.. Other favorite credits include THE WEDDING SINGER (Holly) at CPCC, CHESS (Florence) at CPCC, BEEHIVE THE 60s MUSICAL (Wanda) at CPCC Summer Theatre, GODSPELL (self) at Matthews Playhouse, BYE BYE BIRDIE (Rose) at Abbey Players, and STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Truvy) at Davidson Community Players. She has also worked in television, including background work in several episodes of Fox’s limited primetime drama SHOTS FIRED. She also serves as the Secretary on the Theatre Charlotte Board of Directors. In her downtime, Iris enjoys cooking and volunteering with her
lovely Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. She is also a first degree black belt in taekwondo. Iris would like to thank her fiancé, family and friends for their continuous support of her theatre endeavors. #LawByDayTheatreByNight
MEET THE TEAM
ROD ODEN (Executive Director/Director/Scenic Designer) Whether for the audiences on a professional stage or teaching students in a technical workshop, Rod Oden is proud to have over 20 years experience in a variety of venues, genres and audiences. Rod has designed and directed on stages from Los Angeles to New Orleans, and in virtually every type of venue. He enjoys working alongside community members, volunteers and students to help grow and create professional experiences in the theatre. Rod’s experience has provided him a varied theatrical background, including being a former Artistic Director, founding 2 non-for-profit theatre groups, marketing and business systems for the theatre, all the while enjoying the privilege of Technical Directing. Some of his favorite work includes Tuck Everlasting (New Orleans Regional Premiere), Chicago, August: Osage County, The 39 Steps, The Mousetrap, Spamalot, How I learned to Drive, Shrek, and Lombardi (WV Premiere). As Executive Director, Rod continues Lee Street’s strong delivery of productions, concerts and events that exemplify our Mission Statement and Values. He is humbled and honored to work with the incredible theatre artists and community leaders in our region. Rod is blessed and thankful for his beautiful wife Raquel and his incredible children Ariel, Isabelle, Tristan, Lucas, James and Sylar. KELLY SANDOVAL (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be back and designing at Lee Street theatre. She’s previously worked backstage on several shows including Grease and Deathtrap. She is currently a graduate student at UNC Greensboro finishing her MFA in Theatre with a concentration in Lighting and Scenic Design. Other previous design work includes The Spongebob Musical (lighting design), Wake Up, Brother Bear! (scenic design) and Flora & Ulysses (lighting design). AMANDA FELICIANO (Costume Designer) MOLLIE WASSERMAN (Stage Manager, A1) Mollie Jean Wasserman is a recent Catawba College graduate with a BFA in Theatre Performance and a focus in Directing. Prior to her time at Catawba, Mollie studied Musical Theatre at Northwest School of the Arts, where she first discovered directing and stage management. Her previous stage management credits include Legally Blonde, Into the Woods, The Smell of the Kill, The Odd Couple (Female Edition), and Catawba’s production of She Kills Monsters, which was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19. Mollie is thrilled to be working with Lee Street for
a second time, and she is so grateful for the incredible work of this amazing cast and crew! Lastly, she would like to thank her father and her boyfriend for their continued support of her artistic endeavors. She hopes you enjoy the show! JULIA HOWARD (Deck Crew) This is Julia’s first crew production with Lee Street. Previously she has been seen on stage at Lee Street in Sense and Sensibility. She would like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work on this production. COLLEEN WELDAY (Stage Manager) Colleen is thrilled to be back at Lee Street Theatre stage managing this magical show! You may have seen her name appear in playbills under various crew positions at Catawba College Theatre shows as well as previous Lee Street and Piedmont Players shows. Colleen loves sharing her passion for the magic of live performance and hopes to pursue a career in technical theatre. She hopes you enjoy this production of Harvey! GARRETT JENNINGS Garrett Jennings is a senior at Catawba College. He is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Communications. Garrett was recently seen in Catawba College’s production of Ruthless! and Lee Street Theatre’s production of Grease. He is also a veteran of the Norvell and Meroney theatres. Some of his other recent roles include: Billy Cane in Bright Star, Josh Newstead in 9 to 5: The Musical, and Polonius in Hamlet. Garrett is enjoying his first time doing Deck Crew at Lee Street and he can’t wait for everyone to see this amazing show!! ELIZABETH JONES (Light Board Operator) Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth Jones and I am very excited to be a part of this show. I have been a theater kid pretty much my whole life. This is my 27th show between Lee Street and Piedmont Players Theater. I am going into my second year at Pfeiffer University. When I am not at the theater I enjoy playing sports, coaching sports, traveling (especially cruising), Disney, and spending time with my family. I am on the track and field team at my school and I also coach middle and high school volleyball.
