MEET THE CAST
BRIAN RASSLER (Elwood P. Dowd) Brian Rassler has been involved in community theatre for over 40 years as an actor, set designer/builder, and recently as a director. He was last seen at Lee Street in Glengarry Glen Ross a couple of weeks ago. In Harvey, he is the same height as his bunny friend, but his first role here was as the Giant in Big Fish where he towered over everyone at 9 feet 4 inches. He has been very involved with the Old Courthouse Theatre in Concord along with his wife, Andy. He started dating Andy while they were involved in My Fair Lady about 35 years ago back in their home state of Minnesota. Some favorite shows have been Harvey (12 years ago), Fox on the Fairway, The Odd Couple, and The Foreigner, to name a few. Brian has lived in Concord with his wife and two children for the past 28 years. BETH BENTLEY (Veta Louise Simmons) Beth Bentley lives in Salisbury with her husband Roy and three children. She is a stay home parent and artist, with a Masters in Library Science. Beth is a frequent volunteer for Lee Street, and was elected as a member of the Board in 2020. She enjoys acting and working with costume design. She recently portrayed Mrs Soames in Lee Street’s production of Our Town. She was also in Willy Wonka Jr as Mrs Gloop, Clue as Mrs White, 9 to 5 the Musical as Margaret Pomerance, and Deathtrap as Myra Bruhl. She is excited to be involved in Harvey, and hopes it will bring joy and laughter to those who see it. She wishes to give a special thank you to those who continue to support Lee Street, and Theatre Salisbury. It is through your dedication and support that we are able to continue to produce performance art during these difficult times. EVYNN ROSE GRIGNON (Myrtle Mae Simmons) Evynn Rose Grignon is very happy to be back on stage at Lee Street! Evynn is a represented actress and model with KMG, manages her own fashion/beauty social media pages (@fashionevynn) and owns her own clothing brand: Fashion Evynn Apparel. You may have seen her in previous LST performances such as ‘Sense and Sensibility’ (Marianne) and ‘Our Town’ (Emily). Outside of the acting world, Evynn is also a full time student at RCCC and will be graduating with her AA in January 2023. TROY ISON (Dr. William B. Chumley) Troy Ison is appearing in Harvey in the role of Dr. William Chumley, his first ever production at Lee Street Theatre. Troy has previously been seen on stage in Peter and the Starcatcher, Rexe’s Exes, Shakespeare in Hollywood, and several other shows. He is excited to bring Dr. Chumley to life on the stage and hopes you enjoy the character as much as he is enjoying playing it! Troy would like to thank his family for putting up with all the rehearsals and constant loud memorization they’ve endured for weeks now. He would also like to thank the
seriously amazing actors in this hilarious show and give a huge shoutout to the crew for their hard work and support! MASON LIVERS (Duane Wilson) Mason Livers is a Catawba Graduate (2020) with a degree in Theatre Education with a minor in Creative Writing from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has been seen in Catawba productions such as Dog Sees God (Matt), Anything Goes (Sailor), Twilight: Los Angeles 1992 (Multiple Roles), All The Great Books, Abridged (Coach) and Lee Street’s production of Blood Done Signed My Name (Eddie McCoy/Boo Chavis). Mason is excited to be back at Lee Street Theatre after a two year theatre hiatus due to the pandemic and is very excited for you to come see Harvey. ZAC HUNTER (Dr. Lyman Sanderson) Zac is a junior at Catawba college pursuing a BFA in scene and set design. This is his first show at Lee st and he is excited to be involved in more shows both on stage and behind the curtain. In Zac’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two dogs Jasper and Lola, going on walks, and road trips. Zac would like to thank the director for her continued support throughout the process, the cast for their hard work during rehearsal and our TD, SM and backstage crew for making the magic happen. ABBY SKIBSTED (Ruth Kelly) Abby Skibsted is thrilled to be back on the Lee Street stage! As her last endeavors have been at Catawba College where she was Lita Encore in Ruthless! The Musical and Alicia in The Thanksgiving Play. You have least seen her at Lee Street as Mrs. Webb I’m Our Town. She is a recent Catawba College grad with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and Minor in Special Subjects K-12 Education. She really hopes that you enjoy the show as much as she has, and she wants to thank her cast and crew for working so hard! TERI STEELMAN (Ethel Chauvenet/Betty Chumley/ E. F. Lofgren) Teri Steelman has lived in Saisbury for 50 years with her husband, Ron. They have four adult children and ten grandchildren. She is retired from the Wiliam “Bill” Heffner V.A. Medical Center and has renewed her interest in theatre. She was Grandma Josephina in Willie Wonka,Jr, Aunt Abby in Arsenic and Old Lace and in two productions of Love,Loss and What I Wore. This is the second Lee St production she has shared the stage with her daughter,Beth Bentley. ERIN FANELLY (Judge Gaffney) Erin is happy to be back on stage at Lee Street Theatre. She was last seen here in Sense & Sensibility as Mrs. Dashwood and has performed with Piedmont Players in such shows as Curtains, Company and One Man, Two Guvnors. Other theatre organizations include Theatre Charlotte, Davidson Community Players, OTC, CPCC
and Opera Carolina. As always, a special thanks to her very understanding family! Enjoy the show!

COLLEEN WELDAY (Stage Manager) Colleen is thrilled to be back at Lee Street Theatre stage managing this magical show! You may have seen her name appear in playbills under various crew positions at Catawba College Theatre shows as well as previous Lee Street and Piedmont Players shows. Colleen loves sharing her passion for the magic of live performance and hopes to pursue a career in technical theatre. She hopes you enjoy this production of Harvey! KRIS LINEBERGER (Director) Kris has been participating in theater since high school. She has appeared in numerous productions over the years in and around the Metrolina theater region, including BLITHE SPIRIT (Mrs. Bradman) and NIGHTFALL WITH EDGAR ALLAN POE (Raven, Poe, Police) at Lee Street Theatre. She began cultivating her directing skills about 8 years ago and most recently directed 2 skits in the 4th Annual Boos & Brews at Davidson Community Players. Other directed shows include: PETER AND THE STARCATCHER; OUTSIDE THE WIRE; DON’T CRY FOR ME, MARGARET MITCHELL; SLEUTH; FIRST DATE; Ken Ludwig’s SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD and ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS; AN INSPECTOR CALLS. She is excited about the opportunity to bring all “six foot three and a half inches” of this iconic, warm-hearted play to life on stage! KEVIN LEICHMAN (ASM) Kevin is happy to be back at Lee st. theater. You may have recently seen him as Marston and Narracott in and then there were none, Houdini in PPT’s production of Ragtime, Schroeder in You’re a good man Charlie Brown at Lee st. Theater as well as many many more. Outside of the theater life he is also a Graphic Design student at RCCC. He is happy to return back to his roots working tech/ crew cause at the end of the day he’s still a techie at heart. He hopes you enjoy the show! LUCAS ODEN (ASM) Lucas Oden is excited to be joining the cast of Harvey working behind the scenes. This is the first time Lucas has worked backstage, however, he is no stranger to the theatre having literally grown up in one! He has participated in multiple productions onstage including Madagascar at Piedmont Players, The Polar Express at The North Carolina Transportation Museum, and in several productions at Lee Street Theater including Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour. He is excited to be given the chance to broaden his outlook in the theater world and would like to thank his father, Rod Oden, for giving him this opportunity to grow. He hopes you enjoy the show!
