Stafford Hospital Rehabilitation Services Aid Recovery from a Range of Conditions. The medical professionals at Mary Washington Healthcare’s Stafford Hospital don’t consider their job done once patients undergo a surgical procedure to treat cancer or other serious conditions. The care continues with personalized rehabilitation plans to help individuals resume their daily routines so they may return to work and family activities. At the Stafford Medical Pavilion on the hospital campus, cancer patients may take advantage of Survivorship Training and Rehab, which is the full name for the nationally renowned STAR Program®. STAR’s focus is on recovery from the after-effects of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, such as weakness, numbness, limited range of motion, fatigue, and pain.
