oshua Cole, a state delegate candidate for Virginia’s 28th House District, will hold a meet-and-greet and town hall discussion with veterans and members of the military at noon April 8 in Mick’s Restaurant in Stafford. Active-duty, retired military and veterans who live in the district are invited to the event, which will include Josh King, a candidate for state delegate in House District 2, and Edwin Santana, who is running for Congress in Virginia’s 1st District. “We honor the service and sacrifice of veterans and our military,” Cole said in a release. “Virginia has more active duty military stationed here than any other state, except California. And we have the sixth most military retirees. We want to know their concerns and their needs. They have served their country, and now it’s our turn to serve them.” Cole, an associate pastor at Union Bell Baptist Church in south Stafford, also spoke at a Unite FXBG event March 25 to more than 100 people. A vote on the proposed budget is expected to take place April 18. Also at the meeting Tuesday, the board of supervisors authorized the county administrator to execute the acknowledgment and consent to a collateral assignment of an incremental tax revenue incentive agreement for the Town
