Faced with her first congressional re-election bid, U.S. Rep. Barbara Comstock (R10th) says she is confident her work ethic, community outreach and advocacy on issues crucial to district voters will earn her a second term. “I’ve been a leader on the district’s priorities for years now,” Comstock said, adding, “I’m basing my campaign on the issues. I’m my own woman.” Comstock on Nov. 8 will face Democratic challenger LuAnn Bennett, a real estate business owner and former wife of U.S. Rep. Jim Moran (D-8th). In an interview, Comstock touted her leadership on topics such as research, technology and cyber security and said she is working to reduce regulations so businesses
