Consultant May Get a Crack at Maple Avenue
Vienna Officials Mull Commissioning Study to Figure Out Future of Key Corridor BRIAN TROMPETER Staff Writer
Vienna officials plan to hire a consulting firm to conduct a transportation study of the Maple Avenue corridor, then hold a community “charrette” to solicit public input.
The town’s goals? To manage traffic effectively along the busy roadway, foster successful redevelopment of the corridor and maintain Vienna’s small-town aura, especially in contrast to nearby highgrowth urban centers, such as Tysons and Merrifield. Town staff outlined the study’s goals
