No Easy Answer on Siting New High School

With about six weeks left to go until the Arlington School Board decides where to place a 1,300-seat, $145 million specialty high school, school leaders say
public input will play a major role in decision-making. “We want people’s feedback – there is no question that you shouldn’t ask, and we are happy to answer them,” School Board Chairman Nancy Van Doren said at the board’s April 20 meeting.
School officials have narrowed their search for the location of the new high school to three sites: the Arlington Career Center, Arlington Education Center (adjacent to Washington-Lee High School) and Kenmore Middle School. Between now and a May 15 work ses-
