Per-student spending will dip slightly in Arlington Superintendent Patrick Murphy’s proposed $637 million fiscal 2019 budget, rolled out Feb 22. The 3.8-percent growth rate from the current budget is “just about in the middle of the road” compared to year-over-year increases over the past decade, Murphy told School Board members in presenting a package to fund Patrick Murphy education for the expected 28,000 students in Arlington classrooms next year.
