CHURCH Disappointed but Hopeful There are just some days which you never seem to forget. When I was around 13 years old, my dad was struggling with his employment status.

He was a school superintendent, and it appeared that the school board was not going to renew his contract. Untrue rumors were circulating within the community, and unfortunately, they were believed. Realizing that his “days were numbered,” he became the high school principal of a neighboring school district.

I was with him when he cleaned out his office. Once we got home and began to carry his work boxes inside, my dad lost it. In the middle of the kitchen, encircled by me and my mom, dad started to sob uncontrollably. This was the first time that I had ever seen my father cry.

I’m not sure if it was because he felt like a failure, or if it was believing that he had let his family down, or if the weight

of stress had finally been lifted from his shoulders. The disappointment that I saw on his face and that streamed from his tears will be forever etched on my mind. This once proud man had been broken, and this young teen wondered if he would ever recover.

I relay this personal story of disappointment because I know it effects people daily. Maybe it’s the disappointment at the loss of job or finances. Maybe it’s the disappointment of a broken relationship or marriage.

Maybe it’s the disappointment of fractured trust or betrayal.

Disappointment is real and it stings.

Over the last month I’ve experienced my own disappointment in working for the national church. Sometimes its just hard to fathom how you can do quality work, accomplish much, but others desire change. I suppose disappointment is just a fact of life. That part is true. But how we deal with it is a whole other matter.

If we allow it, disappointment can cause us to become angry, bitter, frustrated, and even worthless. Just look at Judas Iscariot in the bible. He

had high hopes that Jesus would be a governmental revolutionary and overthrow the Romans. But when he realized that Christ was focused more on expanding God’s Kingdom, he became disappointed. This disappointment caused him to sell Jesus out for 30 silver coins and eventually commit suicide. I realize that being disappointed can cause much heartache, but in these times may we be drawn to Jesus himself. In Matthew 11:28-30 the Lord says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Even though disappointment can bear on our souls, there are other biblical examples where God blesses even in lost.

In the Old Testament book of Ruth there was a woman by the name of Naomi.

Much of Naomi’s life was filled with grave disappointment. She was forced to move from her homeland because of famine. In a foreign land her husband died, her two sons died, and she became economically vulnerable. But even in these horrific situations God continued to walk with her and bless her. Naomi’s daughterin-law, Ruth, would not leave her under

any circumstance. After moving back to Bethlehem Ruth eventually married a man named Boaz who took care of both women. Out of Ruth and Boaz’s marriage a son was born, who would be part of the family tree of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Disappointments are never pleasant. But even in the sadness and distress God can still work providing opportunities and new paths for living.

Remember my dad? He had a wonderful career as a high school principal and later became a superintendent of a vocational school. In his retirement he ran for public office and was elected the county treasurer. I’m sure he never thought that any of this would be possible in the throws of his demotion.

But God had other plans.

As each one of us experience likely disappointments, may we be sustained

by Jesus, realizing that Christ is working in our lives, leading us to people, places, and experiences that we could have never imagined.

State Climb brings new idea to old State Theatre ➤ 2006 Rappahannock graduate Dos Allen hopes increased interest in sport helps attract customers to Culpeper

By Jeff Say Culpeper Times Staff Writer The State Climb is bringing new life to the former State Theatre.

Built in 1934 and originally part of the Pitts chain of theaters across Western Virginia, the State Theatre had a renaissance in 2012 with a $13 million complete renovation and furnishings/systems upgrade.

The theater, closed in 2016 after a multi-million dollar renovation, was bought at an auction by Marcus Silva, President of Villagio Hospitality Group in January 2018. It was sold again this past fall to a group including Culpeper businessman Jim Wells. It was advertised for three suites for businesses to take over and the State Climb, owned by Etlan native Dos Allen, is the first to open.

Allen, a 2006 Rappahannock High School graduate, officially opened the State Climb on Jan. 31 and said there has already been a high amount of interest in the new business in the venera-

ble location.

The main entrance for the State Climb is at the rear of the building, opening to a large climbing area that features “a cave” and a wall with LED lights that is operated by a computer application. The former green rooms of the State Theatre are being renovated into changing rooms with showers.

Right now, the climbing walls take up part of the stage with the other half blocked off by temporary cubicles for changing. At the moment, 7,300 square feet is being utilized but the auditorium will add another nearly 8,000 square feet.

“We’re going to develop the whole stage with tall walls,” Allen said. “The whole auditorium will open for more bouldering.”

The rest of the auditorium will feature couches, chairs and tables for relaxing while others climb. The goal is to host TED talk style speakers, Allen said.

The room will also feature a drop down screen that he hopes to have ready for the Olympics where indoor rock climbing will be featured for the first time.

Another business, the Sangria Bowl restaurant, is under construction in the upper half of the State Theatre and it will utilize the balcony - overlooking the climbing facility. Another longtime Culpeper business, Moving Meadows Farm and Bakery will take over the front portion of the State Theatre later this year. ➤ See Climb, Page 4

Volunteering is fun. That is a simple statement to the many great opportunities and benefits I have received from volunteering. I started volunteering at the age of 11, the age in which I opened myself up to more activities. At first, I was hesitant and thought it might just be a waste of time, but I was so wrong.

I started volunteering at the now defunct State Theatre, where I was an usher and concessionaire. The moment I went in, I never knew that I would find family, lifelong friends, and a new safe space.

Most recently, I had the best experiences at BroadwayCon and at the Kennedy Center!

Another thing I truly enjoy is theatre, a world I was introduced to by my family; combining two of my interests was a no brainer for me.

BroadwayCon is like ComicCon, but for theatre enthusiasts. A whole weekend full of Broadway stars, panels, shopping, mini-shows, etc. I was chosen, and had an amazing weekend! I have also become a volunteer at the Kennedy Center for their events, and I was part of their Lunar New Year celebrations, a truly enriching experience!

Locally, I volunteer: at the local food distribution, the Culpeper Hospital, the Heat Shelter, spreading Christmas cheer by singing Christmas Carols with my theatre group, helping with Chamber of Commerce event setup, UVA’s Virginia Film Festival, and helping at various events. As a high school student, volunteering has: taught me new skills, made me close with my community, helped my coping with stress, has increased my sense of purpose, and shaped my self-esteem. Working with many people has enhanced my leadership skills and my confidence in confronting challenges. I always speak positively about volunteering to my little siblings and friends.

On the academic level, volunteering has helped set me apart from peers and prepared me for taking rigorous courses and extracurriculars.

As you can see, volunteering is a big part of my family’s life and mine. Now as a member of Eastern View High School’s National Honor Society, I plan to enhance my volunteer experiences and opportunities and spread its benefits to all that I know.

Kitty and Deka CALLY TALES

I never knew Kitty personally.

She was before my time. I only know the family legend that she was a Christmas present to animal-loving teenagers in the house. She was not a rescue, like me and most of my friends. Her parentage was known, and she was spoken for soon after her birth, probably around the water cooler at the office. Sounds strange in today’s world, but it actually does happen.

What that means is she arrived without a name, and there was a sharp division of thought on what it should be. Some lobbied for Fluffy or Puffy; others for Alice, Esther, or Maria. The debate raged at the dinner table about “cute” names versus “real names,” until the Daddy human had had enough.

“Her name is Kitty,” he announced after hearing argument on both sides. “Case closed.”

Kitty was a grey ball of fur, wellbehaved, and fun-loving. She charmed even cat-haters in the neighborhood.

Since it was a street with little traffic, she had outdoor privileges and wandered about, sometimes bringing dead mice to the front steps for bragging rights. Her outdoor privileges were not monitored because the family had decided to allow her the motherhood experience, one time only and then …

Well, it didn’t take her long to hop right to it.

Since I was denied the pregnancy experience from the get-go, I can’t comment on this. But the legend is that Kitty handled it well, and when the time came for her to delivery, she chose the underside of a mattress. Giving birth, however, was an event that she didn’t want to do alone. She wanted female company. On the top of the mattress, to be specific.

Off she waddled to the living room and meowed her Mama human back to the bedroom. Then she disappeared under the mattress to signify her intent.

The Mama human, figuring she had a report to deliver to the rest of the family, said an encouraging word and left. That was not what Kitty had in mind.

It took three more trips to the living room to get the thick-headed Mama to stay put on the top side of the mattress.

Kitty had definite birthing ideas that were not to be denied. Once her delivery was completed, Kitty reappeared from down under to make her announcement. It was a litter of one; a male whom the family named Skeeziks.

Skeeziks was nothing like Kitty. One can only wonder about his paternal genes. He was a troublemaker from the start, and traveled the house with his tail in the air like a runaway shopping cart, seeking things to destroy. As his habits grew worse, he was given a new home in another town and taken away in the dark of night, perhaps blindfolded.

No one mourned his absence. Not even Kitty.

Kitty lost her motherhood capacity soon after and settled into a mellow middle age – until the day Deka came.

Deka was a grey wolf, posing as a German Shepherd for the benefit of the town authorities. Deka ruled the yard while Kitty ruled the house. One day they met face-to-face on the front steps, and Kitty greeted him with an imperial HISS. Deka, who could have eaten her as an appetizer, flattened himself at her feet.

Surely a victim of total shock. Although the Daddy human claimed Kitty was the only animal that intimidated Deka, family members rolled their eyes whenever the Daddy pontificated on this subject. Boys will be boys.

Kitty’s adventures remind me of another independent-minded feline.

Her name was Reckless. I'll tell you her story next time.

This Far by Faith Life Sketch of Centenarian Laura Booten Hoffman By the Family as told to Faith Johnson Crumbly On March 26, 1912, Burnett Henry Booten and Sally Roe Shanks Booten welcomed Laura, seventh of their nine children, into a family of faith. Her grandmother Phoebe Booten founded the Nazareth Baptist Church in Boston, Virginia. This congregation became the mother church for the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in White Shop (Clarkston), Virginia, and the Canaan Baptist Church in Reva. The churches are located within 10 miles of one another.

Laura grew up in Reva, attending Canaan Baptist Church on Shanktown Road with her parents, siblings, and extended family, doing all the things that budding Christians do. She memorized and recited memory verses. She learned Bible stories and many hymns which she sang with the congregation and learned many choruses and poems to recite with the other children at special church events. This little poem still draws out smiles and chuckles: Christmas is coming. The turkey is fat.

While still in elementary school, Pastor Floyd Elliot baptized Laura in Reva, in a creek behind the home of her cousin, Ernest Shanks. She was able to broaden her view of Christian fellowship when visiting the five churches pastored by Pastor J.A. Holmes and traveling to various states with his 52-voice choir in which her daughters sang.

As Laura matured into her teens and young adulthood, she applied the tenets of the Baptist faith to her daily life and chose to be a silently attentive churchgoer. Choosing to be more than a holidays-only worshipper, Laura attended Bible classes and worship services on Sunday mornings—rain or shine. Laura’s daughter, Mary, lives in Ruckersville. Her daughters, Florence Williams (Reva) and Elizabeth Burrell (Culpeper) , provide the lion’s share of Laura’s nurture in her own home in Reva, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Flo said that her mother spontaneously breaks into singing hymns throughout the day as well as sings along with her and Liz. When recovering from hip surgery in 2019, Laura rallied Flo, “Help me get out of this bed!” And then she started singing. Laura’s repertoire also includes the folksongs and ditties that her husband, Jesse, a guitarist, performed with his brothers’ band.

Some listeners have suspected that Jesse was on her mind whenever she caressed the melody: “Roses are red. Violets are blue. Sugar is sweet, and so are you.”

Laura began reciting poetry and singing solos publicly in her 93rd year. Dressed in 1800’s attire, she recited “Christmas Is Coming” at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Norman, Virginia. When she was asked if she would like to say something at a church event at Canaan Baptist, she immediately stood up. In tune and without accompaniment, she “sang her heart out,” Flo said. Since then, solo hymn-singing been her signature introduction at events in local churches and family events. Her favorite

hymns include “Look Ever to Jesus”, “We Are Climbing Jacobs Ladder”, “Count Your Blessings”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross”, “We’ve Come This Far

by Faith”, and “When We All Get to Heaven.”

These hymns have ordered her steps: “Look Ever to Jesus” and “We Are Climbing Jacob’s Ladder” reflect her determination. She told some distant cousins, Shanell and Blair Crumbly, elementary school students who came from Northern Virginia to meet her in her home: “I don’t know why God left me here, but I do all that I can.” And she does. She fills the ears of all who visit her with lively chatter about their forefathers and heritage, the Culpeper that she knew as a child, and the men, women, and children who forged the foundation for the opportunities in education and job choices that their generations now enjoy.

“Count Your Many Blessings” and “The Old Rugged Cross” are Laura’s praises for the many blessings rained down on her. She is the lesson of Proverbs 14:30: A heart at peace gives life to the body (NIV). Rather than languish in a briar patch of human difficulties, Laura chose to smell the daffodils, her favorite flower.

1. She married Jesse Hoffman at age 23.

They were blessed with Jesse Jr., Gene, Mary, Elizabeth, and Florence. 2. Always wellgroomed and well-dressed, Laura doesn’t shy away from talking about how she cleaned other people’s houses to help support her family when her father died and cleaned houses to supplement her husband’s income to provide some of the extras they wanted for their children. Often sickly immediately following childbearing, she rallied to walk a mile with her older children who wanted to earn money by picking beans in Miss Macie Williams’ garden. Laura spiritual gifts, her education, and her Mother Wit had prepared her for less rigorous employment requiring more skills and receiving higher wages. However, the cultural restrictions and politics of the privileged opened only one door to Black women. So, with renewed strength—in addition to cleaning her own home, working her garden, and canning her produce—Laura cleaned other people’s houses— because she could. Her mode of transportation: walking.

3. Laura still lives in the well-ordered house that she and Jesse built with the help of family members 60 years ago. Her grandson, Scotty, built her garden which has merged into the yard. Her daughters, grandchildren, and a close

family friend, Allen Watson, continue to maintain the home and property. Family handymen include Laura’s sons-in-law, Samuel Williams and Amos Burrell, and their sons. Jesse Jr.’s three sons built her back porch. 4. More than 50 family members, children of the centenarian’s older son and two daughters live within 30 miles of Laura’s home. She delights in her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who visit her.

They, as well as family living farther down the road, visit and bring their friends to meet the family history-maker and keep their connection strong. 5. Family, church, and holiday events draw nearly 200 close family members.

Kin from throughout the South and up North visit Laura in Reva and at family reunions in the area. 6. Through age 107, Laura danced at the birthday parties celebrated with her only surviving sibling, Dollie Berry, age 105, who lives in New York City. 7. She graciously represented her family when meeting the first Black American president of the United States and his First Lady, Barak and Michelle Obama. “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross” is a testimony to Laura applying the Bible lessons that she learned at various stages in her life. She keeps her regular appointments with Jesus and God the Father in prayer and as many worship services as possible. She enjoys attending Homecoming at her husband’s home church, Chestnut Baptist Church in Brightwood, Virginia. She has understood that she needed more strength than the human frame supports and guidance beyond her own rich experience. This enabled her to endure the loss of Jesse at age 94, the deaths of her grown sons, Jesse Jr. and Gene, plus seeing her parents and seven of her siblings laid to rest. She mourned but then moved forward to be strength for her family and an inspiration to her community.

Yes, her ladder at times trembled on the rough side of the mountain, but Laura kept climbing.

“We’ve Come This Far by Faith” and “When We All Get to Heaven” both speak to the guidebook that Laura chose to shape her thinking and lifestyle, her dreams and expectations. Every family gathering is launched with singing “We’ve Come This Far by Faith.” Life’s twists and turns have not moved the needle on Laura’s compass, the faith of her father and mother that she made her own, still points heavenward.

VIEWS “Grease” – Rocks and Rolls at Riverside Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.

Nearly half a century ago, a little show opened in Chicago that took the town by storm. Based on Jim Jacobs’ memories of his high school years, it plugged into the softening view of the Fifties, those Eisenhower years between WWII and Vietnam, as a time of benign stability. Named for the guys who slicked their hair into greased ducktails, “Grease” became a musical phenomenon.

Once on Broadway, it ran to the end of the ‘70s, spawned a movie, inspired the TV hit “Happy Days” (remember the Fonz?) and became a favorite of professional and community theatres around the country. 1994 and 2007 each saw a Broadway revival with tweaks to story and songs.

Call it the cult of do-wop - that odd, indefinable bit of mock nostalgia that wants to believe the ‘50s decade was this much fun, this “cool”, and even this romantic. And we’re still eating it up.

We don’t even care that the story, such as it is, is as thin as the spaghetti straps on an old prom dress. And what is the story? Nice girl, Sandy, meets bad boy, Danny, who doesn’t want to appear un-cool to his friends by dating a nice girl. The usual teenage angst and complications ensue. Sandy undergoes a transformation to fit in and they live happily ever after, or at least until after graduation which is pretty much the same thing.

And if anybody is looking for a moral, here it is: Don’t be yourself. If you want to get the guy, change yourself to fit in with his crowd.

But nobody is looking for a moral. They’re looking for exciting choreography and voices behind such classics as “Born to Hand Jive”, “Summer Nights,” and “You’re the One That I Want.” And they can get them at Riverside’s recently opened production.

Patty D’Beck directs and choreographs, which means that the choreography will be high energy and just complex enough to suggest the irrepressible drive of adolescents on the make. Riverside regular, Alan Hoffman, opens the show and appears intermittently as local D.J., Vince Fontaine. The only other adult figure is the bustling, good-natured authoritarian English teacher, Miss Lynch, in a strong portrayal by Kathy Halenda.

“Grease” defines the Rydell High School Class of ’59 as the Burger Palace Boys and their sister cohorts, the Pink Ladies. Their introduction, heavily dependent on the spotlight to separate them as they gossip and sing among themselves, becomes confusing when the girls end up standing inches away from the boys and apparently don’t know it. Odd piece of staging.

But the story we’re meant to care about is between Danny and Sandy.

Tyler Breeding and Justine Verheul have an on and off chemistry as the star-crossed teens, but that’s par for a high school romance. He’s the aspiring hood, a guy with a leather jacket and an image to maintain. She’s a “good girl”, innocent beyond measure and dressed in a below-the-knee- shirtwaist dress and sweater. Their harmony first shows up in the sweeter than anything “Summer Nights,” but her magic pipes have their own moment in “Hopelessly Devoted to You.” Sub-stories pop up along the way, filling in characters. Doody (Kyle Boardman) can’t compete with his tougher pals, but he can get the girls’ attention with his guitar which he employs in the anthem to Fifties-style four chord progression, “Those Magic Changes.”

And boys might forget their first girlfriend, but they never forget their first car, immortalized here in an amusingly frisky rendition of “Greased Lightning.”

The spiciest character, hands down, is Betty Rizzo, played to her spiked heels limit by Taylor Lloyd. She’s a leader, a “tough girl” who makes no secret of her sex life and sings the night’s most scathingly satiric song, “Look at me, I’m Sandra Dee.” Her rebellious sense of honor gets full voice in the bitter “There Are Worse Things I Could Do.” Rizzo gets most of

Beauty School dropout, Frenchy (Georgia Cerisano) makes the rest of the Pink Ladies look like Rhodes Scholars, but she does rate serenading by the strongest voice in the show, the Teen Angel, played by Philip Alexander.

His appearance creates a meaningful breather in a show that relentlessly drives from one rowdy ensemble number to the next.

When I saw “Grease” in N.Y. in 1975, it wasn’t a satire but 45 years later, there’s a real danger of young actors playing it for clichés and laughs. Exhibit A is the exaggerated movements and squealing, babyish voices of some of the girls. A gentle reminder is in order that acting, regardless the vehicle, is a search for truth to be played with simplicity.

DT Willis’s versatile set design with area staging aided by Michael Jarett’s lighting provides a serviceable backdrop for the myriad scenes from high school gym to drive-in movie.

If nothing else, this innocent feelgood hit reduces the troubles of the world to one eternal problem: getting the one you love to love you back. If that can be done with great songs and a few shenanigans, I’m all for it, but I wish the Fifties had really been that simple.

Filmed in Rappahannock and Culpeper counties in the fall of 2018, the romantic comedy is about a First Lady’s husband who dies in office and then stays on as First Lady for the Vice President.

The film was produced through May’s Renaissance Women Production company, which pairs young up and coming actors and actresses with seasoned veterans - in this production pairing young actresses like Jenn Gotzon and Missy Timme with film icons Stacey Dash (Clueless) and Nancy Stafford (Matlock).

May said the early response to the movie led to it being distributed in nearly 70 films nationwide - many of them in this region. Regal, AMC and Cinemark theaters are playing the movie in Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Sterling, Potomac Mills, Manassas, Virginia Beach and some in the Maryland area as well.

“People saw it and they really liked it and they said it should be in theaters - I said I agree with you,” May said. “There’s a need for family friendly romantic comedies in the theaters. May said they are not in Culpeper yet, but she’s hoping if the film does well it will be shown at the Regal Cinema in town.

“It totally makes sense to show it in Culpeper and a lot of people will come to it because they were in the movie,” she said.

Stafford and May have been making the press rounds, talking to media members in an effort to highlight the family friendly aspect of the movie. Stafford said she loved her time in the area and filming with May and her crew.

“It was incredible, it was so fun and we all became like a family,” Stafford said. “Nina creates this wonderful tone on set. We had seasoned veterans like myself and

Corbin (Bernsen) and some newbies.”

Stafford said working with younger actors and actresses is one of the more fulfilling aspects of the job.

“It’s part of the joy that we get to mentor the ones coming up,” Stafford said. “We kind of take them under our wing, I love doing it out there (Hollywood), and with Nina with Renaissance Women that’s exactly the model she’s created.”

May said during filming she loves connecting younger and more experienced actors and also introducing them to the Commonwealth.

“Stacey (Dash) was saying she

was driving through Virginia and she said ‘I’m going to tell my husband we’re going to move to Virginia,” May said. “It’s very rewarding. I keep telling people you don’t have to go to LA to film a movie. Virginia is such a great spot and it’s a right to work state and you don’t have to worry about unions.”

She said that the success of the movie already has her thinking of a sequel.

“I already have the treatment done, I didn’t want to start on the actual script until we see how well this one does, we really could start filming tomorrow,” May said.

Aging Together bringing back Teepa Snow Teepa Snow is back! As a leading trainer and consultant providing support and care that places the person living with dementia at the center of care, Teepa Snow will be conducting a webinar for the region on April 3, 2020. Many will remember her inspiring in-person conference last July at Germanna Community College, and since then there have been numerous requests for her return.

This year’s event will be conducted in the form of a live webinar to allow wider audience involvement.

There are two options for joining the WEBINAR: One may join individually at their own location, or as part of a group- viewing at Culpeper Baptist Church. Teepa will discuss a positive approach to care, looking at daily activities and understanding behavior. Participants may join for 1,2,3 or 4 hours. A panel of local experts will be on hand following the group viewing session at Culpeper Baptist Church Ms. Snow’s goal is to help communities, agencies, organizations, professionals, families, and

individuals develop the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to better support and care for someone living with dementia. She is the owner and CEO of Positive Approach, LLC with over 40 employees or independent contractors across the US and Canada.

The Teepa Snow live-webinar event is being presented by the Piedmont Dementia Education Committee, a group founded several years ago to provide educational programs for the general public in Culpeper, VA and surrounding area. It is comprised of the following organizations: Aging Together; Alzheimer's Association; Capital Caring; Cornerstone Baptist Church; Culpeper Library; First Light Home Care; Healthy Steps and Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services.

The mission of Aging Together is, through partnerships, to connect people to communities and resources to improve quality of life as we age. Aging Together serves the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Orange, Madison and Rappahannock.

Letting go of the old is the core of this week’s Cara Cutro message. When Death comes around, it’s inevitable change that cannot be avoided. Try as you might, no one escapes this force.

Death is an often misunderstood card in the Tarot.

This card speaks to the idea that everything changes and transforms no matter what.

Things come together and then they fall apart. Over and over this cycle continues. Recognizing that this is a time of transformation and surrender can help many of us through whatever changes are taking place.

has learned a lot about all that the sword represents, and has earned the ability to wield it himself. Swords represent thoughts, ideas, and communications, with associations to the nervous system. The new life being born from the Death card may involve the speaking of a truth for the first time or that you’re finally finding your voice. A new way of communicating is highlighted here.

Allow these changes to take place and try not to speak too hastily or without thinking things through. You have a lot to share and deserve to be heard appropriately.
