Clients & Friends, At Lee Real Estate, we are a group of avid Nantucket lovers - From the beaches to the buildings, bike paths to bird-watching, we love every piece of our faraway isle, and we have learned to appreciate it that much more during the past year. If you visited the island last summer you know it looks a little different - streets were closed for outdoor dining, last call was a little earlier than normal, and face masks were mandated island wide. We all played our part in keeping this wonderful community of locals and visitors safe all summer long. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting bigger every day but we still don’t know what our summer will look like. We are hopeful that we will start to return to the Nantucket that we all know and love. We are anxious to see our friends come back to the island this summer and we all ask that we keep doing our part to keep this island safe. We will be updating the guide on our website to adapt to the regulations and changes this summer. RENTAL FAQS WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN? Check-In time is usually 3pm, it will say on your lease what time you will be able to check-in. There is always a possibility of checking-in early, so give your rental agent a call to find out if this is possible. If you have arrived early, you are more than welcome to store your luggage at our office at 10 South Beach Street so you are free to explore the island without being bogged down by your luggage!
WHERE DO I PICK UP THE KEYS? At your rental! Your rental agent will go by the house to make sure that the house is ready for your arrival. They will leave the house unlocked with the keys on the counter, along with some information about the house including the Wifi password, and a welcome package from Lee Real Estate!
I LOVE IT HERE AND I WANT TO COME BACK This is the response we hope to get from all of our tenants! We love that you love this island as much as we do! If you fall in love with the island over the course of your stay (because who doesn’t?) and want to look at rentals for next summer or homes to purchase we would love to help you. Reach out to your rental agent and they can show you every home on the island!
WHAT TIME DO I CHECK OUT? Check-out time is 10am, unless another time was arranged. The check-out time will be on the lease. We ask that upon check-out you start a load of sheets and towels to assist our cleaners in getting the house ready for the next tenant checking-in. If you are on a later ferry off the island and want to leave your luggage at the office at 10 South Beach Street, you are more than welcome!
WHAT IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT PROCESS? Your security deposit will be returned to you within 60 days of check out barring any damages, excessive cleaning, or other charges. After checking out, your rental agent will be in touch with the homeowner to make sure that everything is in good order so we can initiate your return. To help prevent excessive cleaning charges, upon checkout strip the beds and start the washing machine. Make sure trash is placed in bins and the recycling is separated. This will help expedite the cleaning process and will prevent overage charges deducted from your security deposit.

ROUND OF GOLF AT MIACOMET
The best way to see the island is from the water. Nantucket Community Sailing is just the place to hook you up with everything you need for your sailing adventure. Located at Jetties Beach, NCS offers boat rentals as well as lessons and camps for kids.
Are you itching to catch your first fish? Want to know the best spots to go? Nanucket Fishing with Capt. Hal Herrick is the best way to spend the day. Go out and learn the tricks of the trade from Capt. Hal and bring home some dinner!
Nantucket’s only public 18-hole course is a great way to spend an afternoon. Practice your shot at the driving range or play a full 18 holes while taking in the beautiful views from the course. Be sure to stop into the restaurant for some food after you play!

CATCH A WAVE AT NOBADEER
ADVENTURE TO GREAT POINT LIGHT
Tupancy is one of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s most popular properties. Located on Cliff Road, this former 9 hole golf course is one of the best places to take a walk with the kids and the dogs! Take in the beautiful views of the island’s north shore while walking the clearly marked trails.
Grab your board and let’s hit the surf! ACK Surf School at Nobadeer Beach is a great surfing experience for those just started out to seasoned professionals. Gaven Norton offers private and group lessons, as well as rentals so you can get the full Nantucket surf experience!
Nantucket has three lighthouse, two of which are easily accessible, the third requires a bit of an adventure. Gas up the Jeep and get your Oversand Beach Sticker from the Trustees and make the trek to Great Point Lighthouse for a picnic!

Island Areas POCOMO/QUIDNET
These quiet neighborhoods along the island’s eastern end are complete with water views, pristine landscapes, and an array of expansive properties.
CLIFF/DIONIS
West of Brant Point, this highly coveted section of the island is known for it’s close proximity to town, calm north shore beaches, and sweeping views of Nantucket Sound.
MADAKET Nantucket’s western end is known for unbelievable sunsets, made only better with a Millie’s margarita in hand. Madaket offer miles of coastline, walking trails, and beautiful moors.
POLPIS
Polpis encompasses miles of land south of Nantucket Harbor, and offers vast amounts of conservation land, giving buyers and renters complete privacy without being far from Historic Downtown.
MID-ISLAND Mid-Island offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores so you are never far from anything you may need while on island, and town is well within reach.
TOWN/BRANT POINT Downtown Nantucket, and neighboring Brant Point offer a look into the islands historic past at every turn. The heart of the island is full of shops, restaurants, museums, harbor views, and stunning architecture.
MONOMOY/SHIMMO/SHAWKEMO If it is harbor views you’re searching for, look no further. Monomoy, Shimmo, and Shawkemo properties gaze over to downtown from across the water.
HUMMOCK/CISCO
Hummock Pond & Cisco offer something for everyone, especially those looking to be within a stones throw of beautiful beaches, bike paths, and the infamous Cisco brewery.
SURFSIDE
Surfside offers family-friendly beaches complete with snack shacks, an easy shuttle ride into town, and a relaxed summer vibe perfect for Nantucket vacations.
TOM NEVERS
Located between Surfside and ‘Sconset, Tom Nevers offers large properties in quiet neighborhoods close to pristine South Shore beaches.
SIASCONSET Welcome to the Eastern End, which offers everything from quaint rose-covered cottages to large properties with views of the horizon over the sweeping Atlantic Ocean.

LINDA LORING NATURE FOUNDATION LLNF’s Founder was a land conservationist and created a wildlife and plant sanctuary - a living laboratory! - right off Madaket Road NANTUCKET LAND BANK The first program of it’s kind in the nation, The Land Bank is a conservation program that has worked to acquire land, making almost half of the island open spaces! NANTUCKET LAND COUNCIL Non-profit dedicated to protecting Nantucket’s natural world and rural character TRUSTEES OF RESERVATIONS The Trustees oversee and preserve one of our favorite properties - Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge!
