Let the Eyes Open in the Hour of Autumn for 4 Chinese instruments (pipa, dizi, erhu and sanxian) in response to an open call for score “Singapore Composium 2012”, organized by Ding Yi Music, Singapore. It was selected as one of the finalists and awarded honorary mentioned prize.

Artistic Activities:
A work for flute, violin, piano and violoncello, titled Let the Eyes Open in the Hour of Autumn II, was recently selected for performance in Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival 2014 held from 26th Nov to 28th Nov 2014 at Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Selected as participant to Composition programme for Atlantic Music Festival 2014 (7th jul 2014 to 3rd Aug 2014), held at Waterville, Maine.
A work for violin and piano, titled It Was There Where I Chanced Upon That Eternity, was recently selected for performance in Asian Composers League 2014 held from 2nd Nov to 7th Nov, at Tokyo, Japan.
Formed a solely composers group with 4 other NAFA composition alumni, calling ourselves Quinnuance. We had since put up 2 annual concerts under the title “The Music, Our Works” in May 2012 and May 2013 in The Living Room of Arts House. Another one in the annual series will be held at Esplanade Recital Studio on 30 May 2014.
Collaborated with Amigo Saxophone Quartet, composed a work for them which the group premiered in 2011 edition of Singapore Saxophone Symposium. 4 Updated on 28/5/2008

“Living with” Young Composers -
Collaboration with The Arts House for their “Living with..” concert series with fellow young composers which premiered new works with various young musicians on 2nd May 2011.
3J Reunion Concert – Held on 4th August 2009, collaborated with Interfusions composers cum alumni of NAFA, presented works in NAFA Lee Foundation Theatre. Interfusions -
Collaborated with fellow composition students under the name Interfusions which showcase some works for an installation work, entitles “Crash”, at the Concourse of Esplanade in Mar 2006.
Interfusions –
Clockwork at Concourse, 26th and 27th June 2007. It was organised by Esplanade, performance at The Concourse, showcase of Bernard’s compositions and other fellow young composers’ works.
“3 J” concert –
An intimate sized concert recital organized by Bernard, together with fellow NAFA student composers Jeremiah Lee and Liong Kit Yeng, featuring works by the three of them. They are also composition students of Dr Goh. It was held at YMS Auditorium on 22nd July 2007.
