Welcome to Leeds Center for the Arts! Welcome back to Leeds! And, for those new to our beautiful facility and wonderful productions, welcome to the Leeds Family! Our season is off to a great start, with one successful show under our belt (Matilda the Musical) and Singin’ in the Rain JR eager for an audience after months of joyful rehearsals. Both shows demonstrate what we do best at Leeds and what we love the most: bringing audiences together to watch exciting young artists working alongside seasoned adult professionals. As we enter into this season of giving and thanks, we hope you’ll keep Leeds in mind as you consider your end-of-year gifts. While we cheerfully accept contributions year-round, we have a special opportunity coming up later this month. Thanks to the Blue Grass Community Foundation, you have the power to double the value of your contribution! The Clark County Community Foundation has offered a matching pledge of $8,500 and an anonymous (and very generous!) donor has offered to match another $10,000 in honor and memory of Ralph Oliver, a strong supporter during the initial purchase of the Leeds building. That’s $18,500 in pledges, for a total match value of $37,000. Amazing! YOUTH BOARD The Leeds Youth Advisory Board consists of highly motivated high school leaders from the greater Winchester area. It meets biweekly to work on arts-based projects, strengthen leadership skills through seminars, and enhance the greater community through enrichment opportunities. SCHOLARSHIPS We work hard to make the arts accessible for all, and want to give youth the tools they need to succeed in arts - based higher education and careers. We offer two scholarship funds: The Gordon Liddle Fund for private arts instruction, and the Vanessa Rogers Fund for arts higher education. Visit our website for more information.

Meet the Cast Caroline Brookshire - Ensemble Caroline is thrilled to be part of Singin' in the Rain JR. Caroline loves theater and has participated in other musicals: including Cinderella’s Mother (Into the Woods JR.), Specs (Newsies JR.), and the Cowardly Lion (Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition). When she’s not on stage you can find her serving in the preschool or worship team at church (Calvary Christian) or playing tennis at GRC. She loves her fellow cast members and can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of them. She’s so grateful for you coming out to see the show and hopes you have a blast watching it.
Cricket Brown-Warren - Dexter Cricket is happy to be returning to the Leeds stage! Cricket is a junior at Western Hills and is a college student at BCTC getting their associate's degree. Some of their favorite past performances include Peter And The Starcatcher (Mack), Beauty And The Beast (Silly Person), The Prom (Ensemble), Matilda the Musical (Ensemble), and Addams Family (Ancestor). This past summer they were accepted into GSA for Drama and Musical Theatre, and is an alumnus of the Musical Theatre program. They would like to thank Leeds for providing a space for them to be comfortable and grow as an artist. Enjoy the show!
Harper Cecil - Miss Dinsmore Harper is thrilled to be performing in her 3rd show with Leeds. Harper is in 5th grade and has performed in several shows, various recitals, and many musical reviews. Her favorite roles have been Scar’s Mouse in Lion King Kids, Olaf in Frozen Kids, and Matilda in Matilda the Musical. Outside of theater, Harper dances and plays tennis and the violin. She enjoys spending time with friends and creating with her art supplies. She would like to thank everyone in the cast for making this such a great experience and Jacob and Kieshaun for all they’ve done.
Destiny Centers - Ensemble Destiny Centers is so excited for you all to watch Singin' in the Rain JR. Previous credits include Aunt Em in Cardinal Center Stage and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast (Robert D. Campbell HS). She hopes you all enjoy the show, and she can't wait to see you all in the audience!
Sarah Jane Crissman - Ensemble Sarah Jane Crissman is a homeschooled junior from Lexington and is thrilled to be participating in her first production with Leeds. Sarah Jane has been in several shows with the Bluegrass United Performing Arts Company (BUPAC), including Bye Bye Birdie, Radium Girls, and Oklahoma. She is currently playing Bridgette in their adaptation of M*A*S*H*. When she is not on stage, Sarah Jane loves volunteering with children at her church and co-op, as well as playing her guitar.
Trent Conboy-Holden - R. F. Simpson Trent is excited to perform in another show at Leeds!!
Silas Coogle - Cosmo Brown/Ensemble Silas is a senior at George Rogers Clark High School. This show has been bittersweet, because it is his last junior show at Leeds Center for the Arts. He wants to thank everyone who has helped him grow as a performer, including the incredible cast of the show, his family, and the Leeds family. He hopes you enjoy the show, and don’t forget to laugh!
Sylvie Coogle - Broadway Dancer #1 Sylvie is so excited to perform in Singin' in the Rain, JR. Previous credits include Hazel (Newsies JR.) the Mayor of Munchkin Land (The Wizard of Oz) and Belle (Beauty and the Beast JR.). Aside from theatre, Sylvie loves to crochet and read. She would like to thank her brother Silas for driving her to rehearsal..
Natalee Disney - Ensemble Natalee is so happy to be back at Leeds Center for the Arts! She loves every part of theatre. Favorites include Ever Ever After (Trainer), Be A Hero (Hero), and Cinderella Kids (Narrator). In her free time she likes to hang out with her friends or hang out with her cat Pete. She would like to thank her family and Leeds for supporting her through her theatre journey.
McKinley Harper - Ensemble McKinley Harper is thrilled to be a part of her first Leeds production. Previous credits include Babette in Beauty and the Beast (Robert D. Campbell Jr. High School), various roles in The Wizard of Oz (RDC), and the Broadway Melody Host in Singin’ in the Rain JR. (Baker Intermediate). McKinley enjoys being a part of the Fine Arts Cohort at GRC and is currently serving on the Leeds Youth Advisory Board. She wishes to thank her voice teacher, Erika Gaines, and her GRC teachers, Ms. Bennett and Mr. Olson, for all of their support and guidance.
Addyson Hayden - Ensemble Addyson Hayden is an 8th grader at Powell County Middle School. She previously played Napoleon (The Aristocats Kids) and has participated in various musical theatre classes here at Leeds. When she isn’t on the stage, she enjoys art, playing guitar and drums, listening to music, and learning about history and nature.
Sadie Hess - Zelda Sadie is so excited to be in this production! This is her 6th official show with Leeds. Her past credits include Newsies JR. (Spot Conlon/Olive), Into the Woods JR. (Lucinda), and Matilda the Musical (Ensemble). Sadie also participates in SPARK classes here at Leeds. Aside from theatre, Sadie enjoys reading, writing, playing electric guitar, crocheting, and hanging out with her friends. She would like to thank the amazing cast and crew for everything, and the audience for coming to see the show. Enjoy!
Foster Holt - 1st Assistant/Stagehand Foster is thrilled to be back for his third show at Leeds in a year! He previously appeared on the Leeds stage in his favorite musical, Newsies, JR. (Les), and Matilda the Musical (Eric), and is currently taking classes with Leeds SPARK education program. Foster is in 6th grade at Model Laboratory School and enjoys book club, band, and art class. Foster would like to thank everyone at Leeds for making such a fun place to create magic.
Posy Holt -2nd Assistant/Stagehand Posy Holt is super excited to be in her first musical! She recently joined classes in the Leeds SPARK Arts Education program. Posy is in 5th grade at Model Laboratory School where she enjoys art class, chorus, and is a member of the Odyssey of the Mind team. Posy would like to thank everyone at Leeds for welcoming her to the stage!
Mina James - Kathy Selden/Ensemble Mina James is happy to be back at Leeds Center for the Arts. She is a senior at Great Crossing High School. Mina has previously played Cady Heron (Mean Girls), Pigtails (Newsies JR.), and Wicked Stepmother (Into the Woods JR.), amongst others. When not performing, Mina teaches acting, singing, and dance to young students, and enjoys reading novels. Mina would like to thank both of her parents for all of the support they have shown her throughout her time performing.
Brenna Lambert - Roz Brenna is a senior at Great Crossing High School and Elkhorn Crossing School. This is their 2nd show with Leeds and their 13th show total. Some of their other interests include engineering, music, and reading. They would like to thank their parents for always supporting them in their passions.
David Lin - Don Lockwood/Ensemble David Lin is thrilled to be back at Leeds! A senior from Lexington, he was last seen playing in the orchestra for Matilda. David participates in the Bluegrass United Homeschool Community in academics, soccer, and performing arts. His favorite roles are Jack Kelly and Les in Newsies JR., Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, James in James and the Giant Peach, Maxwell Smart in Get Smart, Jack in Into the Woods, Albert in Bye Bye Birdie, Joe in Schoolhouse Rock, Live!, Sheldon in Junie B. Jones, and Edmund in The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe. David plays violin in the CKYO Symphony Orchestra and holds 15 fiddle championships including the 2022 and 2023 KY State Junior Championship and the National Jr Jr Fiddle Champion Runner-Up. When David is not performing, he enjoys drawing, songwriting, and going on outings with his scout troop. After completing his service project in Liberia, West Africa, he is completing his Eagle Scout Rank this fall. He plans to major in musical theatre and/or music composition in college.
Raegan McCormick - Young Lady/Ensemble Raegan McCormick so excited to be back in another Leeds production! Some of her previous roles include Nancy in Newsies JR. (Leeds), the Narrator in Into the Woods JR. (Leeds), and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz (Robert D. Campbell Junior HS). Outside of theatre, Raegan loves playing soccer, singing at church, reading, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is so thankful for her parents, teachers, and Leeds directors for always being supportive of her.
Lauren McCraith - Broadway Dancer #2 Lauren McCraith could not be more excited to be in Singin' in the Rain JR. You may have seen her in other shows as Uncle Henry in Robert. D Campbell Jr. High School’s The Wizard of Oz, a Narrator in Beauty and the Beast (RDC), and Tommy Boy in Newsies JR. (Leeds). Lauren cannot wait for you to watch this wonderful show.
Emily McLean - Ensemble Emily McLean is in her 5th year of acting and is super excited to be on the stage for Singin’ in the Rain JR. Previous credits include The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Mrs. Beaver), The Wizard of Oz (Oz), The Magical Lamp of Aladdin (Hamila), High School Musical JR. (Brainiac), and Newsies JR. (Dorothy/Newsie/Woman). She has been participated in SPARK education classes at Leeds for the past two years. She is thankful for Leeds and the opportunities they give to young actors like herself. She would also like to thank her friends and family for all the love and support shown over the years. Enjoy the show!
Josh Muse - Teacher/Policeman Josh Muse is so excited to perform in his first shows at Leeds for such a classic show. Relatively new to the theater life, he appeared in Bright Star as Stanford and in All Together Now as Lumiere. Josh has a passion for music and singing and as a current member of Cardinal Singers at GRC. This show is another chance for him to express himself doing something he loves.
Grace Owen - Lina Lamont/Ensemble Grace is immensely excited to be a part of Singin’ in the Rain Jr at Leeds Center for the Arts. Grace goes to George Rogers Clark High School and has performed in musicals since childhood. She has played many roles recently including Race (Newsies JR), Lucy (Bright Star), and Jack’s Mother (Into the Woods). Grace also enjoys many other extracurricular activities including the GRC Swim Team, Y Club, Beta Club, and more. She is also a proud member of the Youth Advisory Board here at Leeds!
Charlie Preston - Don Lockwood/Ensemble Charlie Preston is a senior at Great Crossing High School in Georgetown and has been part of the Leeds family since 2018 when he performed as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins. Charlie has also been part of the Leeds Youth Advisory Board from 2020-2023. He plans to study musical theatre when he goes to college next fall. Charlie loves sharing what he loves to do with the community and hopes you enjoy the show.
Hadley Raines - Ensemble Hadley Raines is thrilled to be cast in her first performance at the Leeds Center for the Arts. She credits the SPARK summer workshop for "sparking" her interest in musical theater. In her spare time Hadley enjoys spending time with her horses and dog, and she also plays on her school volleyball team and participates in scouts. Hadley would like to thank the amazing staff at Leeds for their guidance and support.
Zach Ross - Cosmo Brown/Ensemble Zach Ross is so excited to be back on stage at Leeds! Some of Zach's favorite credits include Jimmy Ray (Bright Star), Snyder (Newsies JR.), Donkey (Shrek The Musical JR.), Jack (Appropriate Audience Behavior), Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland), and Dancer (James and the Giant Peach JR.). Zach would like to thank Silas Coogle for being the best Cosmo ever, and to all his friends who have made Singin' in the Rain truly a spectacular show. As well, Zach would like to thank the RDC Dream Team, the Millers, Jacob Ernst, and everyone else who has devoted their time towards helping Zach and other young artists pursue their dreams! Zach hopes that you enjoy the show (and that he makes you laugh)!
Brody Schmieg - 3rd Assistant/Ensemble Brody Schmieg is excited to return to the Leeds stage for Singin’ In the Rain JR. He previously performed in the Leeds SPARK production of Disney’s The Aristocats Kids, and appeared as Tommy in Matilda the Musical! Brody is a 5th grade student in Clark County where he participates in band and musical theatre. When he is not engaged in performing arts, he enjoys Legos, soccer, and Minecraft! Brody would like to thank Leeds for this opportunity to perform, as well as his family and friends for their support. He hopes you will enjoy the show!
Ava VanMeter -Lina Lamont/Ensemble Ava VanMeter is a freshman at Lexington Christian Academy and loves all things musical theatre. Favorite past roles include: Young Fiona (Shrek the Musical); Caitlin (Mean Girls); Clarice (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical); Mayzie LaBird, Jojo (Seussical JR.); Jojo (Newsies JR.); Pinocchio (Shrek the Musical JR.); Matilda (Matilda the Musical), Flounder (The Little Mermaid JR.); Young Elsa (Frozen JR.). Ava also participates in ACTivate Artists with Purpose. Ava is thrilled for this opportunity and would like to thank her family and everyone at Leeds for their encouragement and support.
Charlee Wesley - Kathy Selden/Ensemble Charlee is so incredibly excited to be doing one of her favorite shows. She can’t wait to share this with you show you how amazing this cast is and how much fun we have on stage. This is her senior year, and she’s been performing Leeds since she was 11. This place has really become a family to her and she’s beyond excited to bring as much happiness to the audience as doing theater does to her. She hopes everyone enjoys the show and comes back for more!
