CREAte. SHARE. INSPIRE. At Leeds Center for the Arts, we believe that art should be easily accessible to everyone. Creativity is an important outlet for people of all ages and backgrounds, and self-expression is more valuable than ever in the modern era. Our Youth Advisory Board recognized the need for arts accessibility in our community in 2023, and began the Art Boxes project. These boxes, installed in downtown Winchester near Leeds and at Legacy Grove Park, contain art materials, finished art projects, and informational QR codes that can teach anyone how to create various art projects. Youth Board members envisioned, designed, and painted the boxes with intentions that the people of Winchester would create, inspire, and share their artwork.
HOW TO USE: 1) Open the box and select a craft and materials. 2) Click the links to learn about your chosen craft. 3) Optionally, return your artwork and unused materials to the box for others to enjoy!
