Bounds Law Group attorneys are champions of consumer rights
Attorney J. Clancey Bounds started Bounds Law Group ten years ago with a focus on building a boutique law firm specializing in medical malpractice cases. His firm now has six lawyers who consider themselves “champions of consumer rights” taking on large hospitals and medical practices. Collectively, the lawyers at Bounds are admitted to practice law in multiple states and have practiced in multiple federal jurisdictions. Bounds says the lawyers all came to his firm from large medical malpractice defense firms. He says, “They’re really good lawyers and really good people.” He adds, “We now have cases from Pensacola to Key West to California.” Kevin J. Carden has been a trial lawyer for 37 years. J. Brent Smith has practiced law for 16 years and is licensed to practice law in four states. John Tress has been a practicing trial lawyer for 21 years. T’anjuiming “Ming” A. Marx has practiced law for 15 years and is licensed to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia. Allison C. McMillen oversees the firm’s intake department. Bounds says the firm’s mission goes against most people’s perception of medical malpractice lawyers. “We don’t just take giant cases. We take small cases also if there’s liability there.”
